Permanent make up for eyebrows What do you think about permanent make up? I'd like to do my eyebrows, but hubby tells me that when I get old and wrinkly it is going to look bad on me. Has anybody had that done? What has been your experience? |
I have often thought how wonderful it would be to wake up with makeup on and looking good! |
i was thinking about that myself..too scared to do it.. my girlfriend did her eye liners top and bottom.. she swears by it.. she wakes up beautiful. back to the brow, i just need alittle on the ends. they dont grow anymore and they are real light... so girls.. dont PLUCK TO MUCH or you will be sorry in the future. |

My mom had her eyeliners done as well, it's been years and it's still good. Also her eyebrows are done and it still looks good too.. i was thinking about my eyebrows.. since i shaved my eyebrows off when i was in 6th grade.. it's been so long and i still have barely any eyebrow hairs. dont shave or pluck too much! :( :D |
Where can you have something like that done? When I was younger and out camping, I was lighting a Coleman Lantern and had the flame turned up too high. It burnt my eyebrows a little bit, but they haven't grown back except spotty. I didn't know it could be done until recently, but where? |
estheticians, beauty consultants, spas, beauty salons offer those services as far as I know. |
I've often wondered about this.. I wear eyeliner every day and am honestly quite sick of it... I know they can tattoo eyeliner on. But what happens if you don't like it? What if I don't want to wear black one day and want brown instead?? I don't know... I suppose eyebrows would be different though. Just hope they do 'em straight!! The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals has a listing of providers by state if anyone is interested.... |
This has been THE thing for the last few years where I work. Eyebrows, liner, lips, everything...and I have to say that everyone has LOVED the results and does not regret it a bit...but one woman had to have her lips redone a couple of times because the color was not quite right...even she will say "NO REGRETS" to this day. They all look great too!! I'm tempted since I wear lipstick EVERY day, but still a little chicken about tatooing my lips! OUCH |

My mother in law has had her eyeliner done and her lips done and it looks great. I really wanted to do eyeliner but havent had the chance. My grandmother in law did her eyebrows and they look gorgeous! |
i want to do it too... scared though... my friend also had her lipliner done. looks great.. scared to do that too |
My mom has both the eyebrows and eyeliner done. She said that tatooing around the eyes really does hurt and she wanted to change her mind but then by that time they have already started it and it would look silly if only one eye had a permanent one  I might be getting a permanent eyebrows when I go home to the Philippines in the fall . . we'll see if I am brave enough . . I am scared of needles! |
My mom really screwed up her eyebrows by plucking them when she was young. She plucked them so much that they never grew back  So, she has permanent eyebrow. They look perfectly natural, too. She also has the permanent eyeliner and lipliner. She says it REALLY hurts to get the eyeliner done, but she wakes up beautiful every morning. All she has to put on in the mornings is lipstick and mascera. The permanent eyebrows do fade somewhat overtime. So, you will have to get them touched up. Aging will not affect them. My mom has had hers for years and they look as good as the first day she had them done. Since my mom screwed up her eyebrows so bad, she made all 3 of her daughters (that includes me) get electrolysis on their eyebrows starting at a young age. I started going when I was 13 and I have not had to pluck or do anything to my eyebrows in years because electrolysis is permanent. I also got my upper lip and my sideburns off. I highly recommend electrolysis. It is, afterall, the only proven method of permanent hair removal. |
