Just thought I would show a picture of my new dog house we're working on. We still like a good bit to get it finished, but we're getting there.

Wow that is really nice. No skimping there. Funny because I was on Ebay checking out dog houses for my dog for the yard so he can hang out when we are out there. So when I saw this post I figure it might be good to check and give me an idea or two...lol. Girl if my dog saw your dogs digs he would run away from home and call me a bad mommy.

I have 5 Yorkies Total, and as you can see their SPOILED ROTTON!!!!!!

I think it's a nice house, I just hope it won't be used to house all of the yorkies and their puppies 24 hours a day. I see how some of those poor dogs live on the Animal Precinct show. I'm not accusing you but just hope that it's just a playhouse, not a mill. Again, my disclaimer, I'm not accusing just hoping.

I only have 5 Yorkies....Out of those I've only had two litters over the past 2 years. So that should tell you something!!! My dogs are members of my family...not JUST DOGS. I built this just because I wanted them to have a place to play safely outdoors and not have to worry about which way they go when they are outside. Some of them like it so much that they enjoy staying in the house day and night. Which I dont think there's nothing wrong with that. They are not caged, they have fresh running water, plenty of food, even a futon, and soon to have a tv and radio for their pleasure. They have doogy doors so they can come and go as they please. I think this is a fantastic set-up, and I think MOST people would love to have the same for their dog or dogs. so I truly hope you don't think I'm a puppy Mill, they disgust me!!!!! I also watch animal precint, and I have NEVER seen any of those poor dogs accomadated like mine!!!!

its a very nice house but I dont think I could let my babies sleep away from me.. thats just me.. I wont even let my lab sleep outside or stay out there very long.. she is just a baby... LOL

Like I said I wasn't accusing you, just concerned. I've just never seen anyone have a dog house unless it was used to house breeding stock. I just dont see how they would be any safer or it would be any more fun, since yorkies enjoy sleeping with their humans. Just my personal view though. It looks like a nice dog house.

By safer I mean:::::It's fenced in so they are not able to run off or be exposed to larger dogs down the street. Do you just turn your dogs out and let them run wild and free? I didn't think so, and that's my point. I love my Yorkies enough to give them a play yard as you would your children!!!!

Wow, that is truly an awesome dog house. YOur little guys are sooo lucky. If I could I would build one too..( I am sure that is not cheap to make) so they can hang out there if I go do an errand on my own for once...Ha ha-they go with me everywhere or when it is just too hot for them to come with me in the car. That is neat!

I'm really glad to hear your babies are just extra spoiled :D Being that we're all yorkie lovers we all get concerned for the same reasons. I'm sure your babies will have a great summer playing in there :D

I think that house is so neat! My boxer needs one (she is an indoor girl but it would be SOOOOO nice if I could put her outside for longer periods of time when I have company over for dinner. SHe thinks she is a lapdog).

I have a question. What channel do your furkids like to watch? I like to put the TV on animal planet for Penny. Just wondering if your yorkie like the same channel :p

Wow, your new dog house should be featured on the dog-version of MTV cribs or something, lol. Your dogs are living like super stars in their mansion! That's so cool!

where we live the wild animals we have are not a threat to our dogs, since we don't have bears, or anything of that nature. Yes they have heat and air.

We live on 18 acres out in the country, very private. We're not in a sub-division or anything like that where they would have access to them.

I think that is a cool dog house. Georgie would stay out there for maybe a minute or so and as soon as Mommy leaves he would be whining;) We have a boxer too and she would be the same way. The house is awesome though, and it's great that your babies love it in there:D
