OMG! I am almost in tears.... no wait I am!
 

I don't know how they did it, but someone has continuously hacked into my website and changed the password and altered the webpages of my website. Just when I thought I was getting back in control the a**hole shut my website down - they signed in and cancelled my plan. My website doesn't even exist anymore and I don't know if I can recover it or if it is gone for good. I can't stop crying as I think about the thousands of hours I have put into my site.... and now it's gone..... just like that..... :( :mad:

You poor thing ! There ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO think nothing of trying to make people miserable - hacking is the COWARDS way to do it -

I know when I did my site it took 4 months to put together - and even though I took it down - a hacker would have really devestated me too.

That just sucks. Unfortunately - the net is FULL of SICKOS...I'm so sorry for you

Oh NO!!! Niki, I feel so awful for you. I just don't know what to say:eek: This has really gone too far. The amount of time that goes into putting a site like yours up is insane. It's putting your blood and guts into it. It's just terrible.

Contact the provider..they might be able to recover it from their mainframe. Things take a bit to get wiped.

That is horrible!!! Did you contact the host of your site? If so, what did they say?

That really sucks :( I'm sorry. Did you back it up on your computer?

Do you have any kind of backups on your own computer? Call up the hosting provider as soon as possible and tell them what happened. Many places often provide backups for you. I hope it all works out, that's just pathetic that someone would do this! :(

Thanks for all your words of comfort. I have contacted my host but they are having technical issues, so I think my site is gone, I'm not sure how long it stays in their database for, I may be able to get it back, but it is doubtful. I am not the greatest on a computer so my website is not backed up on my computer - I don't even know how to do that, haha. The police can't do anything about this either, they are too busy with things like identity theft and kiddy porn.... I will figure something out though.

That's messed up, but red98vett is right, whomever did this is a coward. Hacking is kinda like arguing on the internet...really pointless, and obviously whomever did it is afraid to confront you in real life.

That sucks! I am sorry. I always worry about that happening to me too. Those hackers are such as&holes!!!!

Kiddy porn....That is absolutely important! There are kids out there who are are being exploited and have to do this! and you find that not to be important! ....Trust me I would give up my web site just to have one of those a**holes caught! :mad:

I never said that that was not important, trust me it is. I understand that they are too busy to deal with something like my problem because there are priorities, I'm just repeating what I was told. I mean that's like comparing a bomb threat to vandalism... obviously the police are more concerned with a freakin bomb threat. What kind of person do you take me for? I can, however, be pissed off that I have over $12,000 in inventory just sitting here and I am still paying for certain services for my business that I cannot cancel until I close my business for good. I wish ALL the a**holes in this world would get caught. I wish that I could take all those people involved with producing kiddy porn and chop "those" parts off and all of their fingers too so they have no more pleasure in their pathetic lives. I hate porn, I hate the fact that the hacker changed the links on my website to redirect to porn sites instead. How many innocent people do you think went to my website and thought "oh, maybe I will check out these rhinestone collars here" and when they clicked on the link they went to a porn site instead of a collar page.

I'm not here to start a heated discussion about this. I am just hurt by what has been done to me, and I wish there was someone out there that could help me. But so far the police, my website host & my ISP won't/can't do anything and it's killing me. I have spent all the free time I have over the last few days on the phone trying to figure this crap out and I am getting nowhere.

I have a feeling you read more into what she said....I didn't take her comments as meaning those causes are unimportant - the police ARE busy with those awful problems & she didn't imply otherwise...... She just shared what the police told her. Let's have a heart here....Losing thousands of hours of work IS frustrating -

I'm so sorry. Websites take so much time and energy to put together. You must be absolutely devastated. My site was down yesterday and I FREAKED! I have no back up either. Nor did I have a phone number written down to contact the company on the phone. I was really upset. I learned a lesson though, I must figure out how to do a back up just in case. I hope everything works out for you. :big_hug:

Twinkie, I'm so sorry that happened. Just try to get back in touch with your provider to find out when they expect to have their issues worked out and keep contacting them. In the meantime find something to do to keep your mind off it. That's what I have to do cause I tend to chew on a problem and can't let it go. Good luck and let us know how it works out. Boy I wish there was some way to catch all these freaks!!!
