Hey there, your video brought tears to my eyes as does your loss. My heart feels your pain!! I lost my mom (also my very best friend) in 2002, two months after I got married. It was sudden and I still feel as though my heart has been ripped out my chest at times. Time and faith do go a ways to healing, but a death of someone that close to you changes you. You are in my prayers and if you ever need to talk....I am here for you! |

I'm sorry for your loss also. I don't know your Mom's age but both my parents were in their 80's . I try and find some comfort in knowing they lived a long life, some don't get to have their loved ones very long. Thanks for your kindness.Take care, Debra |
Shadow, I am touched to my the center of my soul. I could feel the love you have for your parents. You could see the love in your Daddy's eyes. Oh how lucky you are to have had such a beautiful loving relationship. |
Shadow, I'm so sorry for you're loss. It's something many don't understand until it happens to them. The loss of your parent changes your life. I know that for a fact, as both my parents are gone too. We adopted three wonderful children who loss their parents. No I can't replace them, but I am their Mom, and their parents pictures hang on our family wall as if we once knew them. My husband and I have been married for 25 years, and have five wonderful children. We are all very close, I fear the day we will part. You have the stars above us my friend, talk to them, they will hear you. They just might be at one of my Mom's tea parties. I'm going to share something with you. I was told, if I trip over something and nothing is there, it's my Mom and Dad keeping me in my place, and to remind me they are always watching me. My parents and In-Laws were my best friends. I don't feel we have lost them, I feel they are up there, pain free making a home for all of us to be together again. When God says the time is right, we will be there, until then, Always remeber they will forever live in our hearts.:2hearts2: :2hearts2: :2hearts2: :2hearts2: |
Very touching video and a beautiful tribute to your parents. Anti-depressants definitely help many people so I don't see any reason not to try them under a doctor's care. I think the best anti-depressant is faith based on God's promises. When you realize you will see and be with your parents again one day, it makes the waiting easier. When you realize they still share in your joys, it makes the occasion happier. When you realize they are living in a wonderful existence together, it makes the loss bearable. I had a young girl in my Sunday School class that lost her Mom to cancer at the age of three. She was adopted by a couple in our church, only to lose her adopted mother to cancer at the age of 6. Just last month, she lost her adopted father due to a fatal heart attack at her track meet. She graduates from high school this Memorial Day. I taught her for so many years and now she is teaching me. Her faith in God is so strong she has been able to deal with her great losses. I told her how very proud I was of her and she told me that when she feels alone she remembers what I had told her when she was very young that just because you can't see the wind doesn't mean it isn't there. She says she may not be able to see God or her parents right now, but she never doubts that they are always right with her. And I too know they are! |
