How about Hands Down? The card game where you had to hit the hand thingy...we went through a few of those. I loved playing Candy Land with my neices. When my kids were born bought it and I was so disappointed in the pictures. The cards were so cheap and the pictures didn't jump out at you like they used to. I can still that napolean ice cream picture...yum

OH NO :eek: It's the herman munster doll again!!!! How about rock em sock em robots, BB had that one. I loved the noise when the head popped up.

I really liked hands down. The newer versions of the old games just don't cut it IMO.

Ha Ha! I always wanted rock em sock em robots. Mom said NO because I was a girl! BB was too old for them. I was telling that story at Thanksgiving this past year. Christmas morning.....hubby had rock em sock em robots under the tree for me! We laughed so hard! Played with them too. Now they are up on the shelf in my closet. Poor rock em sock em's.

I didn't have tons of games only child and all, so if I got one you know who had to play with me... MOM! But neighbors had an entire game room, tons of games on shelves.. loved Life, Othello, Battleship. those are the only ones I remember playing a lot.

Baby bro had rock em sock ems ;) Can not figure out how to spell the sound they made when ya knocked their block offs. ;)

BB also had a Stretch Armstrong....which he claimed I poked a hole in. Stretch Armstrongs are filed with molasses. So for years, I have suffered through his insistence that I was the cause of SA's demise. Look on Ebay...I will replace him...find one circa 1972...yep, right year. SA sold for 258.00. I did not want to replace him 258 dollars worth. :rolleyes:

And she hated chutes and ladders, let me tell ya. We had the you talk battleship, then the electronic talking one. No cheating on the electronic one. ;)

Poor Rhonda, we will have to have a childhood games party just for you. But NO CHEATING. How about Jacks, always got them in my christmas stocking and thought they we stupid. That and pick up sticks,.

Yeah , had those no fun playing those by yourself either...:( I had all boy neighbors and boy cousins... they were all into rock em sock em,, games, Which I of course played..

Remember Skipbo like UNO.. made that quite the game ( once I got my own apartment) called it Stripbo! :p Of couse I didn't have to play that by myself. :rolleyes:

Thank God you didn't have to do that one by yourself..:cool: I remember our first video game. Pong. Thought that was the coolest thing. How amazing to play on your TV. Two straight lines with a square ball. Go figure.

Othello is a great game, I still have mine somewhere. I play it on my computer all the time.:) Today kids are all into Video games, they sure are missing out on lots of great board games.

Me and the kids actually have board game night, but usually in the winter. They like electronic clue.

PONG is still one of the best games ever! My married sister had it and when little sis and I babysat we played it for hours!
