What a revolting development this is.
 
The president claims his tax breaks will help the upper middle class. Those in the $100,000 to $200,000 income bracket. Well if $200,000 annual income is middle class then I am definitely poor. I always thought we were middle class.

Me too!! Guess you would have to consider me in the "destitute" class. I'm retired and make no where near $100,000!!!

Shoot according to that with DH and my income combined we still aren't in the middle class...depressing huh?

If you are making that kind of money annually why on earth do you need a tax break again?

I once had a friend complaining about how much he had had to pay in taxes that week in April. I shut him up by letting him know he was paying more in taxes than I had earned that year. I guess it has a lot to do with your persective.

I always thought if you made made more than $50,000(Canadian) you were middle class. I heard on a radio talk show that you need to make $250,000 (Canadain) or more to be considered middle class. :eek:

It's about time... first $100,000 a year for a family of 4 or 5 in the NJ, NY area is nothing. Housing costs around here are out of control (in my area homes start at $500,000 (2 bedroom, 1 bath, small cape) and just go up from their. RE taxes start around $10,000 a year, plus we pay state taxes. By the time all is said and done you are just making ends meet. Then it's time for your tax return and either you are over (just) the limit or your deductions are limited. I am sorry but I think it should be fair across the board not being penalized becuase of the area of the country you live in. Both parents work to make ends meet and you are penalized for that too.

I think it would be fine for him to do that if he also gave people who made less money tax breaks also.

About 1/10 of what he defines as "middle class" I wonder what that makes me :D Peon class? LOL
