How long should I waid to tell DH? OOPS - Wait Ok - Here is my question. There is a strong chance that I may be Preg. (over 1wk late) :p We have Joey - he just turned 2 in March & Tyler - just turned 1 in April. Ok- I found out (preg test - but faint line) on Mother's Day :) I haven't told anyone yet!! Hubby's Bday is on the 19th or I can try to wait until fathers Day. Or I can just spill it. Any thoughts???:animal36 Don't worry - he won't be mad or anything I just hope its a girl. |
Yay! Congratulations!! IMO it would be the ultimate fathers day "gift" to find out on father's day. But I can see how it would be hard to keep something like that in! Regardless of when you decide to spill the beans, I know it will be a memorable moment for both of you! Hope you get your girl! :p |

Thanks Thanks girls! I really would like to wait until Father's Day since I found out on Mom's day but it seems so far away right now. Maybe I will tell my girlfriend or something?? Any ideas on how? |
You could always a take another test closer to fathers day and wrap the test in like a pen box and give it to him? I did that on our 2nd and my hubby was exstatic . Good luck I hope you get a girl |

Go get a EPT Hi there.....go quick and get a preg test at the pharmacy......you can buy a box with two for about 14.00. Then do it...then you will definately know for sure than can decide how and when...to tell hubby. They are accurate within 1 week of missed period...... Then............... I would run, run to the pharmacy.....but then again......I wanted a girl too...he he he.......and got 3 boys....ha,ha ha Opps.........you already tested??? and got a faint line.....well, results say....faint line or not.....your PREGGO.....but, the neurotic person I am, heck I did 5 before I believed it with my ast one...... I could not wait until Father's DAy........I would have to TELL!!!!!!!!!! |

Congratulations! No, don't tell your girlfriend! Don't tell anyone until you tell hubby. What if he found out from someone else? No fun in that! 3 kids in 3 years, wow your dr. did do a great job on your surgery! Father's Day is only a month away! You can do it....keep the secret. What fun! |
Well I say wait until father's day but if you don't think you will be able to wait that long to tell him then I'd go ahead and tell him on his b-day. I agree with Teri, don't tell anyone until you tell him, although you already told all of us. Like she said someone else could tell him before you, plus if I were him I'd want to know before anyone else. How my mother told my father about me, sorry I don't have kids yet so I can't share my own personal stories, was she left a note on the bathroom mirror something along the lines of "You're invited to my coming out party in November". However "coming out" does take on another meaning nowadays so he might not figure it out right away. Anyway Congrats. Everyone is having babies its kinda starting to make me want one, can't do it yet though. |
A cool way to let him know is if you buy a "I'm a big brother" t-shirt & put it on your youngest. See how long it takes him to figure it out! LOL!:D |
Congratulations!!!! I think it would be a wonderful birthday present and that is much sooner than father's day. If you can wait till Friday, I say go for it then. |

I've always wanted to do this on Father's day if it were my first pregnancy, but I'll revise it for you: Give him a father's day card and sign it from Joey, Tyler, and Baby. See if he notices. ;) PS. Oh SH*T !!! Ok - I guess telling you all just got things moving in my head! Expecially since I knew on Mothers day and didn't mention anything to anyone (family party) even when the subject of us having one came up.... Ok - I was sewing and hubby was watching American Idol and our guy started singing "you are so beautiful". So I thought that the song was great and hubby stopped it after and played it again and he said it was dedicated to me and he was singing along. I started to cry... Well he came in and asked if I heard it i said yes and said it made me cry. He wanted to know why and I said I had a secret and I would tell him later. H looked at me and smiled and knew. He of course went digging through the trash to find the test I took and wanted to go run out to get another but I told him that the ones I ordered will be here tomorrow. So much for waiting... :( I do love the big brother Idea and I think we will do that to tell the family!!! Thanks for all the help! :p Hugs to you all!!
