Relocating and SOOOOO overwhelmed My husband and I are relocating in two weeks to Vancouver, WA from Wisconsin. I am soo overwhelmed with everything. We have to find an apartment yet (which is a pain to do over the internet, expecially when you've never been to the city and don't know what the good and the bad areas are), I have to find a job (since my husband won't be getting health insurance in the job we're relocating for), we got to pack everything here up and find some way to move it to WA. Then worst of all I got to say goodbye to everybody here, which I hate. Oh, and my husband decided he'd work like 70 hours a week to get more money for the move. I appreciate the money, but now I have to make all the phone calls and decisions by myself. WHAAAAAA!!!!! |
Oh wow, how exciting. Stewie and I wish you the best of luck with your new move! Just make the decisions with your best judgement and you will be fine :) |
OH MY... Sounds alot like what me and my family are going through. We relocated to the Midwest four years ago from the East Coast. And, just recently found out that we have to go back. My husband's job shuffles us around like nomads! Oh well... Any way, there are quite a few "You Pack - We Move" services around. If you have a rather large load to move, I would suggest ABF which can be found at www.upack.com or (800) 240-7422. They have moved us a few times already. Good Luck! :) |
Wow you have a lot to do in 2 weeks but you can do it. Start with a list of everything that you need to do, then prioritize it then start at the top and work your way down. Good luck! |
Thanks for the encouragement and suggestions! |
Aw man, I hate to move!!! Why don't you see if you can find a realtor or apartment locating service there in Vancouver to help you find a good place in a nice neighborhood. Someone who lives there would know where the good places are. It would be worth checking into anyway! Best of luck on your move! |
Oh I feel for ya! Hang in there!!!! One day at a time!!!! Try and make it fun, and when you can feel the stress adding up, log on here, we will all be here, and so will all the pictures! That will help for sure! Best of Luck to You!:2hearts2: :2hearts2: :2hearts2: |
Ugh I feel for you too! We are in the middle of a move, luckily the military will come pack up your stuff and move it though. But we have been in hotels since the 21st of last month and it is stressful. We bought a house and have been waiting to close (which we do tomorrow!!!!! YAY!!!) But definately call a realtor before you go and give them your specifics so they can be looking. Good luck to y'all, moving can be really exciting. |
I live 16 miles from Vancouver, try finding something east of Vancouver, if i can be of any help pm me, mabey i can send you some links ! |
