In our paper today..:( UHRICHSVILLE – All three of an E. 1st St., Uhrichsville, woman’s dogs were rescued by Tuscarawas County Humane Officer Leslie Humphries Wednesday afternoon after one dog was found without water and with its muzzle bound with duct tape to keep it from barking. Humphries said the woman left the tape on a 5-month-old Shar-Pei’s muzzle for about a half-hour before removing the tape and spraying the dog’s throat with Chloraseptic, an oral anesthetic spray, to dissuade the dog from barking. The dog was tied to the woman’s front porch. The American Kennel Club describes a Shar-Pei as “an alert, compact dog of medium size and substance; square in profile. ... The loose skin and wrinkles covering the head, neck and body are superabundant in puppies but these features may be limited to the head, neck and withers in the adult.” Humphries said the woman reluctantly signed over three dogs to her possession. The dogs are being boarded at an area kennel because the Tuscarawas County dog pound at New Philadelphia is full. Uhrichsville police were to forward a report to the county prosecutor’s office. WTH! Note to people... DOGS BARK, That is what they do! |
how sad.... and she had three and could not even handle one. Those kind of people don't deserve furbies:thumbdown |
 Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! This is so wrong but hopefully the 3 dogs will get a second chance. |
Someone should wrap duct tape completely around that idiot's head. |
What don't people get about dogs? They bark, they have accidents it gets me so mad to hear these things! |
dang, and I thought I'd found my solution. No, I'm kidding of course. That poor dog. I have to believe there is a special section of hades for people who abuse animals. |

It's pretty sad when the dog pound is SO full they had to take those poor doggies somewhere else. |
Tonight on the Cleveland news this story was on, I was so surprised, but happy, the more exposure the better, they said how remorseful she was, blah, blah, blah, And they also said the shelter where the dogs are now, the one that was duct taped, has not barked once since being there... go figure. |
I sure hope an extra special person adopts those dogs. Poor things!!!! I really hope this person never gets another animal. |
