| No radiation here. They have some super duper new procedure they do here....actually there were only three surgeons in this area that perform it.
They take a little out, biopsy it, if it's still there, a little more, biopsy...until they get all the cancer cells. There is far less scarring. This kind of skin cancer can masnestize if you do not get it removed. I had a dime size hole in my lip. The surgeon did a very nice job of fixing it....you can't tell I even had it done. If mine had been worse...I'd would've had to have gone from his office to a plastic surgeon. A little old lady there....was so sad....they just kept cutting her nose and cutting her...she had to go to the plastic surgeon. After they cut wherever your cancer is....they put ya in a waiting room all together until they get done biopsying it...so here we sit...my lip, lady's nose, man's ear, guy's forehead....:rolleyes: PS I was the youngest person there. It also takes ALL day....got there at 8 didn't leave the office til 4. |
