Strange phone call (wrong number). Pigeon Removal? HAHAHA!!!!
 
I just had an incredibly strange phone call (wrong number). It *just* happened and it was so darn funny that I had to write it down before I forgot. Here is the transcript:

Me: Hello?
Caller: Pigeon Removal.
Me: What?
Caller: Pigeons in the attic - gotta get them out. But they've gotta come out from the front attic entrance, not the back.
Me: (thinking it was our condo regime calling) Seriously? Um, ok, so what do you need from me?
Caller: Well, a ladder, for starters...
Me: You need a ladder from me?
Caller: Well that's going to be the only way to get rid of the pigeons, unless you know a better way...
Me: I haven't even noticed pigeons in my attic...
Caller: No, they're in my attic. This is a wildlife removal service isn't it?
Me: Um, no this is my personal mobile number....um, I think you've gotten the wrong number.
Caller: This is 843-XXX-XXXX, isn't it?
Me: yes, but...
Caller: Ok, sorry, I guess I got the wrong number then.
Me: Apparently so. Good luck with the pigeons.
Caller: Thanks, bye.

Ya should've strung them along ;)

Our phone number used to be ONE digit off from a Long John Silver's restaurant. We got so many wrong numbers that we KNEW Long John's number by heart. So one night...someone calls, hubby answers...tells them the correct number...phone rings...same person...tells them AGAIN...THIRD phone call...I hear hubby say ok, it'll be ready in 15 minutes. I asked him what was he talking about...he said...look they're too stupid to call the RIGHT number so I finally took their order ;)

PS Have ya ever noticed....you don't ever see baby pigeons...same thing with seagulls...they both must come out full size :eek:

HAHAHAHA, you're right I've never seen baby pigeons or sea gulls. LOL. Too funny. I bet they're all hiding in that guy's attic! :lol tears
That was great he took that person's order. Seriously, I would have too! What a crazy person! Did they even notice it was his same voice answering the phone over and over?!

too funny., Did you also notice that birds never die in flight. I have never seen a bird just fall out of the sky?????

And with all the birds out there....how come you don't find bunches of them laying on the ground dead? Just another thing to make you go hmmmm....come to think of it....how come your dog CAN find that one dead, rotten, stinky, maggot filled one and roll around on it....ewww. And they are not too happy to have you wash out that perfume either :eek:

:laugh: That is funny Val! I got a call at work one day from a guy that said he brings ferrets into places of business for pest control and wanted to know if we wanted to use them in our stores. It was such a funny call, and I had just started to work for the company, so I was nervous taking the call, but if I got it now, I would play along with him. He said it was much more enviromentally freindly than using pest control chemicals. I still think it was a prank call from a radio station.

LMAO! Too funny Val! That was very strange though! LOLOLOL!

ANd when I lived at home....we used to get phone calls for the high school where I went to school all the time. We too were one number off....but parents would call and report their kids off from school. But they would call like rediculously early. So just to be a meanie, I would say ok...and so they thought it was fine. So then when the kids got back to school and got detention for not reporting off...well, I would just laugh! I was soo mean!MAny times I would just let the answering machine pick up, and they would still leave a message knowing it didn't say, Howland High School! LOL! Very Crazy!

It bothered me long enough ;)

1)baby Pigeon
2)baby seagull

I guess they just stay in a nest until they are bigger :)
