What Kind of Soap/Shampoo Do You Use? I always get sick of my soap products and change around, but right now I am using Infusium shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair. I don't have frizzy hair, so this actually works well on my hair. St. Ives Apricot Scrub Johnson & Johnson Baby soap on my face/eyes then Proactiv cleanser. What do you guys use? |
Kristy, at the risk of sounding like a mother hen.. Don't use any kinds of soap on your face.. It's too drying for your skin.. Get some sort of facial cleanser.. ;) Ok, now that I've said my two cents.. I use Aussie for my hair and Dove Sensitive Skin for my body... :) Mary Kay Cleanser and Moisturizer for my face... |
My dermotologist recommended baby wash for my face because it's gentle and everything else makes me break out or have oily skin ;) |

I change most every couple months, right now I think I just might be sticking with what Im using now I really like it! it's called alterna cavier anti-age :rolleyes: at my age gotta try and keep the hair LOL |
For shampoo, I used John Frieda for a couple of times but the sweet smell was overpowering and made me dizzy. Now, I use Pantene's Color Expression Series for brunette (I have dyed hair...). For my face, I use the Oil of Olay cleansing towels. Then, I put on Dove's Nightcream. During the day time, I use Bare Esentuals which has SPF in it. |
I use salon products because if I use anything cheap my hair falls out like crazy, right now I'm using bed head and I love it, I also like Biolage. I guees its from coloring my hair way to much, I started early and that was a big no no. I use bath and body body cleanser, I also like the dove for sentisitive skin. |
I use Loreal Vive. I switch off and use Biolage too. I like them both. |
I Usually use Biolage....and I wonder why MY hair is falling out the last 6 months - never dreamed it could be from shampoo.... Lately I'm using BioTouch NutriCare - it's GREAT on curly hair - and as far as soap...whatever I have in the shower is what I use. I'd rather smell my perfume than my soap. Face...I used Carolyn's (BrutusMama) Arbonne products and loved them - but am finishing up my Avon Renew....Their face cream is great....when I run out I plan to get some Arbonne products |
On my face I use Cetaphil Cleanser and Aveda Hydrating Lotion then a tinted moisturizer with spf 30! For body I use all baby products, Johnson and Johnson Lavender Soap, Aloe and Vitamin E baby oil and the lotion in the pink bottle. I LOVE baby stuff, it's so gently and doesn't make me break out in hives like most soap :) |
I switch off periodically on different shampoos and conditioners. I usually us Bed Head products by Tigi. I like them a lot. I am currently using bumble and bumble products. 3 different shampoos and conditioners made by Bumble and Bumble are in my shower now. I am not overly impressed and they are quite expensive. I am going to start using Johnathan product next, I am using his frizz control and polishing serum right now and I like them a lot. I am a licensed Esthetician and I have studied skin care for years. I use cetaphil cleanser and a line of products call Paula's Choice. Paula Begoun(sp?) is an author of many books about the cosmetics industry. She is very researched and knowledgeable. I use whatever is on sale, but I usually get so much bath stuff for Christmas that it lasts me forever so I dont really buy it that much! |

On my face I use cetaphil cleanser and Avon Renew On my bod I use Oil Of Olay with lotion ribbons and on my hair I use Pureology or Nexus Products. |
I use the Loreal Vive for dry hair. I also recently tried a product sold at Costco it is facial night cream by Kirkland for Costco, which they say is made by Borghese, I definately like the product. Olay liquid soap for dry skin. |
I LOVE Borghese products ! I have alot of their eyeshadows and they stay on forever - their Vitamin C cream is awesome too - it's sooooooooo silky |
I use the Arbonne aromatherapy line in the shower. Redken all soft shampoo and conditioner but sometimes I'll use L'oreal color vive shampoo. |
I use Aveda shampoo and conditioner I switch up which ones because sometimes I use purifying and other times I use hydrating. I also use Dove cool moisture soap for my body and Aveda cleansing gel for my face. I guess I must really like Aveda:D |

Alterna hemp seed hydrating shampoo and spray leave in conditioner for the hair. I lOVE Alterna and use all their stuff for the hair. And for the face, J&J baby shampoo on the eyes, sometimes all over the face, followed by C.O. Bigelow clay cleanser and Dove moisturizing cleanser for the body. |
I use Ojon for my hair as it is the only thing to help my curly hair and Toasted Hazelnut lotion from Bath and Body shop...:D |
I used Pantene for over 4 years......until I heard it had a cleaning agent in it that is also used to clean car engines....and that it has the same pH balance as Tide detergent. I asked my stylist HONESTLY what her opinion was and she said that she'd only use salon brand shampoos if I had any idea what was best for my hair. She also said that tho' salon brands are more expensive, they're less watered-down and so it ends up to be about the same in the end b/c you end up using less each shower. Anyway, I'm using matrix stuff now. |
I switch around a lot for shampoos. Right now I am using the Aussie Moist shampoo and conditioner and it's great! My hair is really soft. For face, I stick to a pretty strict regimen. I use MD formulations glycolic cleanser and a little benzoyl in the am and then at night, I do the cleanser and then mix Vitamin C powder and a retinol cream and put that on. It works great. |
