New YT members since March! Please read (and write!) I can't keep up! OH MY GOODNESS!! There are so many new members on YT these days that I feel like I just don't know anyone anymore!! Operations Manager at A/V Company/Hobby Business selling Dog Bows. 6. Married? Single? Children? Married, 1 Daughter, 1 3 yr old Granddaugther. 7. Do you have other pets? No the local cat just caught my last fish from the pond this week. 8. Tell us something completely cool about you! I just love my Yorkie. I didn't know I would feel this way. I always had big dogs before and it was not like this. |

Was it a general search, or did you come here with a problem/question? I found you guys on a general search through google to get some info about yorkies. 3. How long have you owned yorkies? I've had her since January 2, 2006 4. What is unique/funny/kooky about your yorkie? She's just like every other yorkie pup, cute, funny, hyper, ALL OF THE ABOVE! lol 5. What do you do for work? I'm a full time student at the University of South Florida, but next fall I will be at the University of Central Florida. 6. Married? Single? Children? I have a boyfriend of 2 1/2 years. (He's the one that bought me the yorkie for Christmas) =) 7. Do you have other pets? Nope, this is my first pet ever. (Besides fish) 8. Tell us something completely cool about you. I'm majoring in business finance and hopefully going to be moving on to Law school in 2008! This site has been absolutely wonderful though in finding out everything I need to know about my yorkie! My name is Betsey 2.I googled "shorkie" and found this site because at the time I was interested in perhaps getting a shorkie 3.I don't own any yorkies, sorry...I do have a 3 yr. old bichon/poodle mix named Winston and a new baby girl shih tzu named Georgia! 5.I'm a stay at home mom but I do substitute teach occassionally. 6.I'm married with 3 children, oldest son is 15 then a son who is 11 and a daughter 10. 7. We have a pet turtle named Squirt. 8.Eeeeeks! something cool about me? Mmmmmm...I can whistle really well! |
Greetings Good morning, I thought I'd try to introduce myself and my Yorkie- Names: Debbie (the traveling munchkin) & Max Ages: 50 & 10wks I was searching for tips on housebreaking, grooming and found the website during a search. This is such a great website, especially for newbies like me with many questions bout takin good care of Max. I have owned Max for 1 week-woohoo! We absolutely love our new Yorkie and are working through the puppy stage of potty training, chewing on electric cords and toes (No Bite), and the incredible non conditional love that Max gives us every day. He is soooo much fun!! Max loves to play outside-there is no leaf on the ground safe from our Max. He hops frequently and runs full blast upon seeing either of us. He walks around like he is a really big dog versus a little guy. He also loves to jump and lands very flat footed upon jumping from the bed or ottoman. My favorite thing he does however is when he lays his little head in the crook of my neck when he is sleepy. I know they say not to let Yorkies sleep in the bed at night, but I swear, he really doesn't take up much space! My husband is a construction superintendent and we travel throughout the coastal south. We have been married for fifteen years and have five grown children and 3 grandbabies between us. Max travels with us and actually is now on his first road trip after a week at home in Lillian Alabama. He has done quite well with his crate training and slept for most of a 7 hour trip to our current site. I am a retired RN-my current job is to take care of Max and my husband (lucky me!). Max is our only pet (lucky Max). Something cool about me-I am the beach gypsy of the south-I love and have been to most of the beaches in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. I am very blessed that my husband's job allows me to continue to explore many beaches and coastal towns. I thank all of you for sharing your experience and knowledge of caring for these wonderful dogs with all my heart. I will post pics soon. |

Unique/funny/kooky thing about my yorkie: She thinks she is a cat. She rides horses and goes tubing behind the boat. Work?: I am a stay at home mom I am married with 4 kids. 11 yr son, 10yr son, 7 yr son, 6yr daughter Other pets: I also own a maltese and am co-owner to several cocker spaniels Cool about my self: I write short stories and poetry and have some poems published.
