i voted for lucille bald. there is this thing i have with chinese crested dogs... i think they have had an unfair advantage in the competition from the getgo. :p

It was a toss up between peewee and ms ellie. I voted for ms ellie in the end.

Pee Wee Martini's owner wants him to be named the ugliest dog in the world in a contest in California next month.

In the Fishtown area of Philadelphia Pee Wee is in a league of his own. He is furless, has a crooked nose and a standoff disposition.

Bob Morris remembered the first time he saw him: "I was confused. I thought I just witnessed a horrible accident."

But Kristin Maszkiewicz adores her Chinese-crested, Japanese Chin mix that she paid $1,000 for at a pet shop.

"His face is crooked. His tongue hangs out. He has no teeth on that side. He's actually a sweetheart," Maszkiewicz said.

Pee Wee is adorable enough to pay a visit to Kelly Ripa on the "Live With Regis And Kelly" TV show and to be featured on a Web site where he is a contestant for the "World's Ugliest Dog." Sam, the three-time winner, died last fall.

Pee Wee is known by many of his neighbors in Fishtown, so NBC 10 reporter John Blunt asked them what they thought after showing them a picture.

"Oh, my God. I was fine (before I saw this). Where did you find this?" said Sam Kahuila, after looking at a picture of Pee Wee.

"He needs dentures," said Michelle Ford.

Those people who get to know him love Pee Wee. Great-Grandmother Ann McCool had this to people who would speak ill of her precious Pee Wee.

"They'd never say it to my face," McCool said.

I love those Chinese Crested dogs, even thought about having one someday, still might. :)

I just seen the contest on Animal planet yesterday. Was it a repeat? I'm just now finding this thread and the pictures of Victoria are way worse then what she looked like on TV. I couldn't decide between Archie or Munchkin. But Archie took first place. The way he would just sit there with his big belly and tongue hanging out. Very ugly,,, but in a cute kinda way! LOL I had never seen an ugliest dog contest before. These spoiled little ugly dogs were so loved. I really enjoyed it!

I love ugly dogs! I can't decide which one to pick. I just want to hug them all, they are so darned ugly.:)

They had this on TV yesterday........there were some really UGLY dogs, and what I found interesting is.......they bred some of them that way......it was NOT by luck, or bad luck for that matter....LOL



The winner...was not my choice, but he sure was Ugly.

I think these were the same dogs that were featured in a magazine not long ago. Didn't Munchkin (sp?) win? Those poor babies!!!
