We received some sad and tragic news today... This morning I get a call from Jonathans' day care teacher (today isn't a school day for him) she says she has bad news..the director of the school committed suicide yesterday! This was a VERY small school with only 2 classes, and we've been going about 3 years...we've become somewhat friends. now she had been sick a few months back, but no one knew exactally what was wrong..she was a very private person, refused any help/ concern, etc....so we never knew her exact diagnosis... well over the past few months we thought she was getting better..looked better, etc.... she told me that she went into the woods behind her house with a gun. Her daughter is away with her grandparents...not sure if her husband found her or not (who isn't her daughters father) its a very sad, tragic story that we dont know many of the details too.. just please say a prayer for the family and especially her daughter, Cassidy. We are not telling the kids at this time...it just doesn't feel right. I of course will go to any service... I'll be at the school tomorrow and hopefuly know more. |
oh my gosh. that is so horrible. her family is in my prayers |
that is just heartbreaking. Someone very close to me did the same thing. Never even had a clue that he was depressed. You just never know. There is not a day that goes by that I don't wish I would have seen the signs. Please know that we will keep her and her family in our prayers. |
That is very sad. We will keep her Family in Our Thoughts and Prayers. |
how terrible! |
How terribly sad. I wiil say a prayer for her family. |
Oh Amy... That is so sad... :( What a tragedy for the family. It is always so shocking when someone sees no other way out than to take their own life. Desparation is a terrible thing. But the people left behind get marked for life by it, and that is the real tragedy. Courage to you and the school in helping the children get through this. You know even if you don\'t tell them they will find out. It may be better coming from you, along with a discussion about how sad people can be sometimes, but how it\'s always so much better to talk to someone and try to work things out. It\'s amazing what children can learn from things like this, provided they are spoken to carefully and honestly. Good luck, honey. |
Oh, gosh! That\'s terrible. We had this in our family this past summer. So many questions left unanswered...... |
How sad! I am so sorry that this has happened to you! I will be keeping her family and friends in my prayers! |
oh my, chills just ran through my whole body... i will keep the family in my prayers... how terrible.... |
I can\'t imagine the emotional pain she must have been in to do this. I feel bad for her and her family. Prayers are going out. |
OMG how terrible! :( |
How horrible. Prayers going out your way. |
That is just so tragic and I am so sorry for all of her family, friends and students at the school. The human mind is so complicated sometimes and we just cannot fathom what happens to make someone choose this solution to whatever they are going thru. A couple of weeks ago, I took hubby\'s Mom out to Houston to see her niece who is in the final stages of cancer. I told my hubby when we got back that I understood why some people in her shoes choose suicide...I don\'t condone it, but seeing her pain and suffering, I understood it. I will say a prayer for her family...this will be a very hard time for them and the question of "why" will always haunt them. |
Oh my gosh that\'s horrible!!! I\'m SO sorry to hear of this tragedy, wow, how do these things happen?! :( I\'ll pray for all of her family and friends and all of the kids who will eventually hear the news. SO sad. |
