And HERE is a FREE PICTURE RESIZING PROGRAM Here is some picture posting and sizing help - THERE IS ALSO HELP AT THE TOP OF THE 'MY YORKIE' SECTION....I just had good luck with these directions and typed them myself....but Yorkietalk offers great HELP on the site ....and a different program to use...... Posting and sizing pictures can be intimidating for people who don't know how - so I hope this will help someone.... :) RESIZING To make sure your pictures are not huge and resize them...This is one of the easiest program on the net to resize your pics....http://bluefive.pair.com/free95.htm Scroll to PixResizer……Download the program..it’s really small and very easy to install – Depending on the size of your image you just have to click ONE SIZE (USUALLY 50%) or 460 Pixels and it resizes it for you...SAVE your pictures where you know you can find them again - this program NAMES them for you with the size ... SAVE YOUR PICTURES AS JPEG’S or they will not show as thumbnails. ******************************************** ONCE you resize & save your picture and want to upload into a post ... In your post, Scroll down and you’ll see Additional Options Click MANAGE ATTACHMENTS Click BROWSE to find the picture on your Computer Double-Click the picture – then click UPLOAD |

Hey babyGenes....for that you need about 5 cropped pictures and an ANIMATION program. The way I learned was with ULEAD Gif animator 5....it will show you the basics... and I think people here are having pretty good luck - I've emailed quite a few out....pm me if you want it..... Then...you can graduate to other programs when you get the general idea. Animation is layering pictures.....then animating...but your first step is cropping and sizing. |

Hey everyone, I figured out how to do the Avatar thing!!!!! I found the animation in a program that was already on my computer. It's called "Picture It! Photo". Sometime soon I'll try it with names or something. Thanks to those who offered to do one for me, but I love a challenge and I did it. Yeah Me!!!!!!!!!!! |

LOL !!! I think the computer companies COUNT on us to be clueless so we go out and buy MORE STUFF !...the thing that sucks - it it WORKS. :D that's why I try to post anything free.... There are a few good programs like the Photoshop family and they're worth it...but most of our built in computer stuff is sometimes just basic programs - It may do one thing but not another....I swear - With my programs that came free...I had to crop in one program - lighten and edit in another....it was like EACH program was missing some key element ..... I'm so NOT a pro at this but I can work with pictures....I used to design & print custom brochures so HAD to learn ...there's is so many things I don't know how to do but it's always fun learning... I remember how frustrating it was so anything I can pass on...I'm more than happy to share ...If anything - to prevent YOU GUYS from using all those bad cuss words :p |
