I have yet to hear her tell anyone anything that they could confirm themselves. Nope, don't believe Sylvia... |
I believed when I was younger but then I learned about scams and such things. I don't believe in mediums or fortune tellers. Your loved one's that passed don't need a medium to contact you, that's what dreams are for. Sometimes you can hear them yourself, talking to you. Thats God helping you heal, not some medium. I personally think it's a bunch of crock. It's just suggestive guessing. People believe because they want to believe what they say is true. |

That's what I was talking about above. I don't need John Edwards.... |
I don't think psychics are all a crock either....and I am not talking about that group of "Sister Mary's Palm Readers" with the neon signs....they are BS. But I've been to a psychic....I did NOT provide any information. She didn't fish for information either. Not to go into specifics...but this gal hit squarely on the head my circumstances at the time...everything. I didn't even acknowledge how right she was.....and she kept telling ME stuff. Maybe my mother was whispering in her ear, but she d-mn sure knew from somewhere. |

I believe in mediums, but I think Edwards is a joke. I think Sylvia Browne is awesome and I think that she is annoying to some people because she is not convential - she is so overwhelmed by the outside world that she is all over the place, but I do believe she has the gift. |
This is not a knock at religious people, but I think many people look at religion and God the same way as others look at psychics and think 'what a joke' or 'how can you possibly believe that?'. I don't want to give this thread a religious spin, but I believe that the way some people turn to psychics as a crutch is very similiar to the way that others turn to God as a crutch or a teller-of-all. |
The one book I have, can't remember who's it is, but it tells you how to tune into your own ability ,,and not to flip anyone out... but I did it for weeks and eventually got the sign I was asking to receive, and it wasn't something I imagined or anything like that.. It happened. You know they say we all have the ability. I believe that.. even a womans intuition, is part of it.. and we all know how right on that is. |

Rhonda - I know what you mean. I think that it has to do w/ the fact that humans only use 10% of their brains. When you put your mind to it, you channel the parts that you don't normally use. As you can tell, I am really interesed in this topic ;) |

Don't understand why religions would be against it. Just who do they think gave some people these powers or the ability to tap into it? I am not trying to start an argument here either. I understand some people's religious views are against this..... I did some serious religious reading after my mother died...no psychic mum boo jumbo....it was of great comfort. I was really looking for WHY. I may have told you guys already....but I couldn't understand why someone would die that had so many people praying for another outcome. I asked our preacher....how come if God answers prayers, he didn't this time? His rely was..."Deb, he does answer prayers, it's just sometimes the answer is no." |
right on sister....   |
