Bark Bark Bark... Thats what my son sounds like again this am..a barking seal! He has seasonal asthma...and it was very chilly here this weekend and he was outside alot. Well of course he wakes up barking like a seal today :( and he fights me tooth and nail to give him a breathing treatment... poor guy..and it does't stop him or slow him down either.. just sounds bad! |
Been there. Me & my son both have asthma. We are lucky, it only flares up occasionally. |

Bad part is if we dont catch it and do treatments, he winds up with croup and on steroids :( |

My son has only been that bad once and of course we were out of town. My grandfather had cut some hay and it was being bailed(sp) and he was riding the truck with my husband as they were loading it and with all of that being stirred up. He ended up in the er twice once for breathing treatments and eye drops for conjtivitis(sp) and the second time for a reaction he had to the eye drops. |
I have a son with asthma too. He fights tooth and nail to when you try to give him a breathing treatment. Luckily he hasn't needed one in a while. I had his breathing machine in my van in Jan. when I wrecked the van. Everything in the van burned up. We were all lucky that we walked away with minor injuries. My oldest son put his head through the window and had a minor cuncusion but didn't cut himself. My middle son hurt his hip on the wood trim in the van but didn't cut himself. My 6yr old son didn't get hurt at all and my 5yr old daughter didn't get hurt at all. I hurt my hand but that was it. The problem with the breathing machine being replaced is that his doctor in Kansas precribed it and I haven't found a permanent doctor in Oklahoma yet. We were lucky in the wreck and we are lucky he hasn't needed a treatment. |

Yes you all were very lucky. Glad everyone is ok. Hopefully you will find another doctor soon. |
