Well, I'm an office manager for a small electrical company. I do all the boring desk crap like payroll, acts. receivable, acts. payable, etc. I recently found what I thought I wanted to really start a career in ( Vet Tech.) but the schooling is more than I can afford. I guess I'll be sitting here on my a** for quite a few more years... LOL Crystal |
I am co-owner of a family owned business. We sell automotive service equipment (the equipment you see in service bays....lifts, tire changers, etc). My father started this business in 1958....he had retired about 8 years prior to his death...we're still here...(I don't mean living....in business :rolleyes: ) I control the money. Now ya know why I can stay on YT all day if I want...who's gonna fire me....me ??? :D |

I worked in Insurance as a Director of Group Benefits. Last yeat after 33 years they got in new management and my position was eliminated so I was forced to take EARLY retirement at 52! Big cut in pay but no one to tell me what to do! I ahev been taking care of my 86 year old FIL until he died in November and now my 86 year old parents moved 5 minutes from me so I am their caregiver. It's stressful but rewarding. |

I am the office manager of an Auto Body Repair Shop, have been here 13 years... YIKES! I do it all here.. scheduling, phones, A/R, A/P, payroll, taxes, get screamed at by customers, when their cars aren't done... That's always my favorite. :( |

I make my living as an artist and I paint commissions and show in galleries. I love anything that has to do with art and spend a lot of time visiting museums and galleries. I love to travel and try to make a journey to another country and culture each year. When I am not painting...I spend time on my volunteer work.I consider my anti-racism activism to be as much a part of me as my artistic endeavors.I facilitate a group called Conversations on Race and try and help participants to become more comfortable talking about the issues of racism. I also sit on the Advisory Board of Directors of our local university's School of Fine Arts. In this capacity I work with the School's gallery in planning shows and jurying admissions to those shows.I love the flexibility of being an artist because I get to spend a lot of time with my daughter and Vivi. My daughter is also involved in activism and we often get to work together on projects. She is currently organizing a fashion show to raise awareness on the issues of Domestic Violence and money for a local Domestic Violence shelter. She is only 16 and I am very proud of her. :) |
i just left my job last may as a sr claims adjuster to be at home with my 3yr old and my two furbabies and i am loving life!!!!!!! |
Right now, I am a stay at home mom to a 10 month old human and a 2 year old Yorkie. Before that I was a legal secretary, got fired cuz the jerk attorney thought that I loved my child more then I loved my job.... he got that right! What's funny is that his partner hired me back 2 hours later. But the jerk fired me again 1 week after Katrina. and before that I was a Harbor Master for 3 years at a very large marina in Louisiana.... |
I am a full-time student at the University of Georgia majoring in English and a part time waitress at a BBQ restaurant.. am I a southern stereotype or WHAT ;) |
