Anybody Computer Expert Hey- this has nothing to do with yorkies (although it might prevent me from getting on YT eventually!!!). The device manager gives this error: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)", troubleshooting, uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t solve it But also: * sound doesn’t work * errors when starting up Windows:. #1 16 BIT MS-DOS Subsystem: C:\WINDOWS\UPDATE~3.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications. Choose 'close' to terminate application. #2 RUNDLL: Error loading D0CE0C16B1. The specified module could not be found #3 Java Virtual Machine Launcher: Could not find the main class. Program will exit. |
this might work Quote:
hey if you want to reboot your whole system ( push and hold f10) but that makes your computer go back to the way you bought it. any other problems I ever had I could just reinstall. I am not sure how new your computer is or anything either you might want to wait for some one else if you can. |
HA! I'm pretty computer illiterate! Do you have a Best Buy near by? Geeks.com may be able to help. |
You need to deinstall and reinstall your devices. Open Device Manager. First I would do the cd-rom. Look on the list for it. right click it and go to properties and see what it says under device status. try to click on troubleshoot. If that doesn't work, deinstall and reinstall by doing the following: Open Device Manager. Double-click the type of device that you want to reinstall. Right-click the specific device you want, and then click Uninstall. In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK. To reinstall the device, on the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes. Follow the instructions on the screen. after you have done that with the cd rom do your hd next good luck |
Thanks so much everybody. I tried the deinstall and reinstall and it still comes up with the same error message. I don't dare to get the computer back to its original state, because I don't know what my husband needs on the computer and what not... So I'm going to take it somewhere where they can fix it... Thanks for the advice and help! |
