Tie Dye with Bleach??? Has anyone ever tried to tie dye a black shirt with bleach? My son is wanting me to do it, I wonder how long to leave it in the bleach? I found to dilute the bleach and use hydrogen pyroxide to stop, it just didn't say how long |

I forgot to mention my method's effectiveness is determined by the following variables..... 1. Item has been worn more than once 2. The cost of aforementioned item |

Success! Well, brave person that I am, and considering I only spent about $5 on the Black t-shirt; I rolled it up and wrapped some rubber bands around it and placed into the bleach/water filled sink. I set the timer for 10 min (otherwise in the morning it would be empty), the shirt turned brown. After taking off the rubber bands, it is tie-dyed! Hurray! My son thought it was COOL! :D 2 points for being a cool mom! |
