Oh I hope you get it!! I will say a prayer! I lost my job after 33 years, a horrible boss took over and I had to take EARLY retirement my salary was cut by 3/4 literally and we are doing OK. I just have to cut back, but the relief of not having to work under terribel conditions more than makes up for the lost income. |
Actually I work for one of the lowest paid nursing homes in town right now, so this one may actually pay more than I make. Some home health care places pay mileage too. But I guess I am putting the cart before the horse. First they have to offer me a position, then I have to figure out the money. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me. This would be a wonderful thing for me. |
Well guys I went for my interview today and she is supposed to call me tomorrow. Would you believe if I get this job I will be making 4.50 more an hour!!!!! Benefits out the b---. I am sure I won't sleep a wink tonight. It all sounds wonderful to me and she really seemed interested and impressed with my resume. This is a national home health company and they don't hire anyone that doesnt already have home health experience. She is checking my references in the morning and is supposed to call me by 330. I am so very excited. Hopefully I will hear good news, if not I am going to be very disappointed. |
You will get it! Keeping fingers crossed! |
Just got called for another interview with another company on Monday. I went ahead and made an appointment just in case tomorrow doesnt work out. This one doesnt sound as good as the interview today but better than where I am now. I can always cancel if I get hired tomorrow. I have been so nervous I am cleaning my whole house. Just took a break to eat and can't so guess it is back to cleaning. |
I got the call I was waiting on from the home health company. I have a interview with the clinical supervisor on Monday at 330. So now I have to wait all weekend to see if they will offer me a position on Monday. So I am definetly still in the running but nothing is definite yet. My nerves are going to be shot before this is over. This job would mean so much to me and I want it so bad I can taste it. Guess I will just have to keep myself busy this weekend and hope that it goes fast. Work was terrible yesterday and I can almost pinpoint the time that the home health care company called them to check my references. The director of nursings attitude toward me changed drastically late morning. I was planning on giving my two weeks notice like a good employee if I get offered my dream position. Now I am thinking that maybe I won't. I am afraid that the nursing home will make that two weeks hell for me which would make me leave sooner anyway. Sorry guys to keep bringing this up I would imagine that everyone is tired of hearing about this anyway. |
