my son and his HS were just on the News
I was listening to the news and they were talking about MADD protesting a wine tasting funding raiser sponsered by a High School. My son calls me to say look it's me.
The long and short Madd was protesting at my sons High School because the Senior Class Parents are sponsering a wine tasting at a local banquet hall for project graduation. It is a major fund raiser and has been for years for the senior class they raise around $30,000. Madd is potesting saying that it promotes drinking and driving and that the school board should shut the fund raiser down. The mayor said that is not a drinking fest, underage people are not allowed, they serve dinner and you would have to sell alot of cupcakes to make that kind of money. I support Madd but I think this is going a little over board. I just thought it was neat that my son was on the news, he was leaving school with his friends and they walked by the camera. He didn't even notice. |
