The post office is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I HANDED my Christmas cards to the postman when he came by delivering the mail and they got lost, I mailed a NetFlix DVD from my mail box and it got lost, I mailed 4 bills and a birthday card from my mail box and THEY GOT LOST! I physically went into the post office and mailed some letters and bills and guess what THEY GOT LOST and now, the big kicker, they are stating that my address does not exsist and sending the mail back... can you believe it! How can my address not exsist... I LIVE HERE! They are driving me CRAZY!! I have talked to the postmaster 3 times, and I finally called and filed a formal complaint with USPS. I am awaiting a call back that will probably be lost or sent back with the rest of my mail!!!! |
I'm thinking your mailman is ditching your mail right out the side window of his truck  |
goodness, wonder why this is happening? Is this only happening to you? I hope your creditors are understanding........ |

I think I should follow him..... |
Let me tell ya something. The post office people aren't the brighest bunch. Our mail box was run over by a car, therefore, no place to put the mail. So I call and ask if they send it back or what. Oh no, we hold it for awhile, we'll notify you first, if we send it back. So how do you notify me??? We put a notice IN your mailbox. Oh, the one I no longer have??? She could not even explain that one. Also if our mailbox is blocked....the mailman will get out of the truck to place a notice in your mailbox that it was blocked so he couldn't deliver the mail. Now if his butt can get outta the truck to put the blocked notice IN....how come he couldn't put the mail in there  |

Good point. I would have the Post Office write out a letter to your Creditors explaining whats going on. Hope you get things worked out soon. :) |
He's ditching your mail and watching netflex DVD's at night. He'd like to request more action movies...cause what you're selecting is kinda sucky :D |

Speaking of post offices. When I bought my house, it was 1302,,and all the junk mail and flyer junk said 1300, One day I get this letter, that if I don't start using my correct house number, I will not be able to get my mail delivered. So I call and say " I am using my CORRECT house number, why aren't you?" So they tell me I have to bring my DEED in to clarify the number, which I did.. Needless to say, my junk mail and flyer junk still says resident at 1300! Whatever, but thanks for wasting my time. ;) Glad we got that all clarified! |
My postman does the same kind of thing and it makes me so mad. There is a lady right down the road from us with the same house number but different street name. I live on Rachel and she lives on Daugherty but its the same number and every single day there is something for her in my mailbox and something for me in her mailbox and it gets so annoying!!!! I have called the post office so many times and they dont do crap about it! |
Shoot, when we moved into this building, there was NO outside mailbox and we wanted the mailman to bring it INSIDE. I had to call the stinkin' postmaster and ASK if the mailman could get out of the truck. If he couldn't....guess we'd had it delivered like Chevy Chase did in that movie....fly by and throw. What heck was the name of that movie?? I also get mail addressed to Deborah Page Two....gets delivered just fine....but those addressed correctly to Debra Paige Tew....sorry, we couldn't find ya ;) |

Sometimes it takes going down to the processing facility and just flat out letting them have it! Let me tell you...I have had to do the same thing here before. For some reason at my work, we'd mail something out from our city to somewhere else in the same zip code and it'd take over a week for it to get there and it was mailed using first class mail. Now there is NO excuse for that to happen. I got the story that for some reason they (the post office) was shipping off all the mail to a city over 300 miles away to have them sort the mail and then they were bringing it the over 300 miles back. I highly doubt that first class mail from one zip code to the SAME zip code gets treated this way. I may be young...not THAT young. (not born yesterday that is) MORONS! |

They ship ours 300 miles away. If you mail anything on Saturday, it does not go to the local post office....it takes a side trip to Richmond and then comes back. I'm not kidding. Anything mailed then arrives cancelled with a Richmond stamp, not Hampton Roads. |
Boy am I glad to hear that I am not the only one who has so many problems. Right now I live in an apartment complex and for every 2 buildings, there is one big box that has a dozen individual boxes. I get mail for people who are in my building and mail for people on the other side of the whole complex. Sure, this isn't too big of a deal except that I get an average of 10 - 15 pieces of mail each week that don't belong to me  . I used to nicely go around and deliver it to the correct people, but who has the time for all of that? Now I just throw it back in the mail, but mind you we don't have a mailbox to send mail out.....so that still requires a special trip out. There have been so many times that I have not received some of my bills or someone brought them to me after the due date (not their fault.....they don't get paid to deliver the mail) that I now keep a running list of all of my bills for each month just incase one doesn't come in the mail. Also, this past Christmas I had to mail quite a few boxes out. While a couple of them got to their places quickly, some were ridiculous. One package that was supposed to take 2 days took exactly 2 weeks.....another than was supposed to take 5-7 days took well over a month! In response to the original post, I have had to argue that my address exists as well. When I was in college and living with my parents, I had ordered some school books and they should have been there before class started. Well, after my first week of classes, they still weren't there and I got a card in the mail saying that they could not find my address (I guess they thought the mailman would be a little better at doing this  ) so I called and gave them very specific directions. A couple of days later I got another card saying that the address does not exist. So when I called them, they proceeded to tell me that my address didn't exist. After asking where the hell I was calling from then I asked how in the hell I received the card they mailed to me if my address didn't exist?!?!?!?!?! Luckily, the manager was able to find my place the next day and deliver my books. To top it all off, I had paid double in shipping so that they would be there in 2 days.......but it took 3 weeks! |
Still no call back from my complaint yesterday, but I did get one piece of mail today. It was a Valentines Day card that my sister had sent me, it was postmarked Feb 2nd.... I mean, COME ON, it does not take a month to mail ONE STINKIN CARD! Thanks to the postoffice I was depressed on Valentines day because I did not get a card in the mail. I wonder if I can sue for damages that I sustained from not getting the card in time for Valentines day??? It's a thought  |
