please pray for nicolette. my 15 yr niece from maui, hi was brutally attacked by an 8 foot shark in 1.5 feet of water. she had surgery last night and is going back for more surgery tomorrow for her extensive leg injury. please keep her in your prayers. :(

OH no ! OMG that poor girl ! PRAYERS for Nicolette and your family.....and I hope she recovers quickly ! Wow is that scary ...... :(

That's incredible that in that depth of water that happened and bless her heart...she's going to have a tough time getting past this emotionally....that's truly awful !

I heard that sharks and alligators were about the same - the can attack in the shallowest of waters and not be noticed - how, I do not know. There was a story not long ago about a toddler that was playing in the shallow waters of a sandy bottomed area (water not even to her thighs) and a big gator got her. How horrible!!! You just never know!!! :eek:

:heart to I'm putting Nicolette on my prayer list along with her family. May God heal her quickly, surround her with skilled, compassionate medical workers and bless Nicolette and her family with a peaceful spirit today and in the days of recovery ahead.

Just saw your neice, Nikky, in an interview on FOX news! She sounded like she is doing great and really feeling blessed! She was soooo cute! Please keep us updated! ;)

thanks for the prayers. nicolette is doing better. she is not out of the woods yet. we are still very concerned over infection and mobility issues. i haven't seen us on tv yet , but i hear we are all over the news channels and papers. we are just too busy and stressed out.

I'm glad to hear she is doing better! I will keep her on my prayer list.

Just curious, I'm wondering if she has heard from the young teen who lost her arm to a shark while surfing? My daughter read her book and felt like she had a couragious, inspirational story to tell.

we didn't hear from the girl who lost her arm. i hope she does contacy nicolette for encouragement. she has a very long road of recovery ahead. we find out tomorrow if she needs a third surgery. thanks for the prayers.

thanks for the thoughts and prayers. she is doing pretty well considering what she went through. i just got back home to nj. she actually shares the same surgeon with the girl who lost her arm. there has been no contact between them.
