Anyone got any good hangover cures??? Had friends round last night and had a few too many Baileys (yum yum) ;) Although i feel ok i've felt better. Just wondered if anyone has any miracle hang over cures???? |
I take two tylenol and drink a bottle of water before I go to bed. In the morning, I eat a really really greasy breakfast. It absorbs all the toxins supposedly :) |
You know the old saying "the hair of the dog" - have another shot this morning and you really won't care about your hangover :p |
I always wonder why people drink if they know that they might have hang over next day.. (nothing really personal to you.. but it has been always my question.) I guess you feel fun and excitement at the times? I don't drink often.. maybe a few times a year... and I would drink maybe less than half glass. People think I am not fun.. but I don't want to get sick... So I enjoy the drink for a bit and put it away. People drink from peer pressure too?! Just curious! |

Drink several glasses of water before bed and that always works to prevent it. I was told this works because hangover is from dehydration. A cure for it, I don't know... |

I prob have a alcholic drink about 5 times a year and i could prob do without that. Last night i had one to be sociable but that turned in to a few more. Nine times out of ten i dont even bother. The reason i don't drink more often is because my dad is an alcoholic and he nearly died earlier in the year with hepatitis of the liver thru drink. The drink will get him in the end :( I think like everything its ok in moderation, if only my dad did too. Sorry this has got away from what thread was about |

As usual, Cindy is right. In fact, Baileys can be a cure for a whole lot of things... I drink it to treat the following ailments: hangover hangnail nailbiting, itchy mosquito bites, poison ivy, cramps, flu, colds, sinus infection, and split ends. I also use it for bad hair days. It doesn't make my hair look better, but I don't care so much about it. |
I heard that drinking Gatorade works wonders for a hangover - before bed and the next morning (day). I know they do say it is from dehydration though........so drinking lots of water or Gatorade should help........I wouldn't think taking Tylenol would hurt either. |
drink more alcohol and it will take your mind off the hangover :D |
On my Rough mornings I swear by McDonald's bigee Hi- C orange drink. Gotta get a big one,,cause you're SO thirsty, ya' know cause ya didn't drink enough the night before. ha |
Hangover is due to brain dehydration. Alcohol drives fluids away from tissues so you need to replenish them. You need Gatorade for electrolytes and club soda for increased absorption (champagne effect). I usually drink 50-50 before sleep, then in the middle of the night with 2 advils and in the morning with several pills. Sometimes my hangovers last a couple of days, so I always have a bottle of pills, 2 gallons of Gatorade and a case of Seltzer (and of course a case of vodka and beer to prevent overhydration). |
Just had chinese food thats usually quite good for sorting you out too :D |

Add MEN to that list ! Baileys can turn ANY man a dreamboat... providing : a. He is the one carrying the bottle or b. You drink enough of them :D |
You should try to take 2 tyelenol, or something of the sort BEFORE you drink that works for me all the time |
This will not help hang over but keep this in mind.....when I use to drink I would drink and alkaseltzer before I would start drinking and I never got a hang over...... |
