extreme makeover home edition! today i was driving around and they had a road closed in a town near by and i stopped and asked why there were sooo many people and its because extremem makeover home edition is there and that people have to park 5 minutes away and they have a bus to come pick people up every 15 minutes and drop them off at the work site! i am going to go with some of my friends in about an hour and watch them build! we can stand in the audience and they tape all day off and on!! so maybe you all will see me on TV!!! :D ( i should bring maisy too! lol!) |
How exciting! I love that show- it helps so many deserving families. If you can take pictures there, be sure to share them with us! |
I love that show too, even though it makes me bawl like a baby! Get over there, then send them to my house! lol |
they were here in my town did a house that there parents had died 18 days apart. I use to bowl with their mother, she had 8 kids. took my dog Ty there one day and they asked me if I named him after Ty I said no lol, but I did go into their bus it was awesome inside. |
I got to go and help at the Extreme Makeover Home Edition about 6 or 7 months ago it was really neat! Be prepared though bc it is alot different then what is seen on tv. You will be amazed it was really neat though. I got Ty's autograph!!! I went to the Camp Barnabas I dont know if you guys remember that one. It was the summer camp for the disabled children. It was really touching. |
That is so exciting! I absolutely love this show and how it helps those in need!! |

How cool!! I would love to be involved in some way with them! That is such an amazing program!! I love it!! All the families they help are so deserving! |
Congratulations!! That is one of the most exciting shows! I loved the one about Camp Barnabas ... one of the best ones they have done!! Glad you got to see it! Thanks for the pics. ;) |
That is awesome! Thanks for posting pics! :) |
They came to Kansas a few months back and ended up being around 5 miles from my house and you could see the lights and everything. Luckysmom went to it I know and I think she saw Ty too, not sure though. |
OMG Ty is very handsome! |
did they say when it will air on TV? |
I think Ty is cute too and funny and................ I remember watching the Camp Barnabas episode and then there was the Morgan Nick home in Alma.......these two were pretty close to me, but I didn't go to either of them. My brother-in-law (at the time) worked for a company that did a lot of the work on the one in Alma and he got lots of goodies from the cast and crew....the one long blonde hair girl made all of the workers bracelets (where she found the time, who knows). I like to watch it, but I am too emotional!!! I wonder how some of the families afford such big houses and utility bills when they could barely afford what they had before? I have seen some of them getting their mortages paid off, etc...but not all of them. |

On Ellen yesterday there was a woman in the audience with 2 young kids. They were in California while their home in Florida was being remodeled for Home Edition. I think Ellen said they lost their home in one of the storms last year. Or maybe it was just damaged. I wonder if it was the same people. Ellen introduced them and then they cut to Ty and he spoke to them, too. He didn't show them their home, but did show a really nice pond in the yard that they had built for the turtles that the family rescues. They cut back to the woman and tears were streaming down her face so Ellen ran out and handed her a tissue. It was so touching! |
