I would like to know if any of you ladies have adobe photoshop cs2 and how hard it is? I want organized my pictures and maybe fix some of them also. I know I can do thatr with photoshop but this will be my first experience with a software like that. I was wondering if it's hard to learn please let me know how ya'll like it if you have it.

There are several very good tutorial sites that you might want to have a look at to get a basic knowledge of the tools.
PM me if you need any other help, as my son uses Photoshop all the time and he'd be happy to help.

I still have Adobe 7.0 and it was very easy for me to use. I do want the latest version, but none of my friends have it.. so I have to wait till one of my friends can get it for me ;)

But let me know for those that do have it, how you like it better if any difference than 7.0

I have pro 7 and took an adult education class at night to learn how to use it right. Now it is really fun! Maybe you could find a class at your local library, or adult ed, and even our senior center has classes. It was worth it.

It will have to be a class when my husband is home.

thank you ladies for the info and the links. I don't have the software yet but hopefully I will be getting it for my b-day. Once I get it I will need help. I'm going to have to stop by the library and see what they offer.

Photoshop CS2 is Adobe's advanced photo editor, mainly for professionals. Photoshop Elements 4.0 would be enough for most of the basic photo editing and it's a bit easier to use. Elements has the photo album and organizing feature, whereas CS2 doesn't. Since it is more for the consumer, it's also quite cheaper if you were to purchase it. Here's the link to Elements 4.0:

I started many, many years ago with probably Photoshop 5.0. Being a photographer, I could not survive without CS2. Most of what I've learned has come from dpreview.com's retouching forum in the very beginning to lots of different seminars in the last few years.

Actions are very powerful as are scripts (I don't use scripts because to write them is pretty complex).

Once you learn the tricks of PS CS2, you'll wonder how you lived without it!

I just started using Photo Shop Elements. I think it will be fun to "fix up" all my digital photos.

I have had photoshop elements 4.0 for at least 6 months or so & I have no clue how to work it LOL!!! I can't sit still long enough to learn. I will have to take time to sit & learn. I will go to the websites above & from previous posts so that I can finally learn how to work it. It just seems difficult.

I use PS CS2 all the time. It is amazing! If you're just hoping to do some simple improvements to photos, it's probably a lot more of a program than you'll need. It's a fairly expensive program compared to others out there, so unless you plan to do some serious graphic design work, another program might be a more economical choice. It is a great program though, so if price isn't a consideration for you, I say go for it!

Here is a link to Gimp- a free program that is VERY similar to PS. I am partial to PS, but this is a great program and you can't beat the price!
