What I did for me yesterday
 
Yesterday I spent the day doing things just for me. I had such a wonderful day and feel so much better. I went to the Estee Lauder counter in the mall and had my makeup done. Then bought makeup to hopefully continue to make me look like I did after she did it. Then went to get my hair cut and styled. Went out for lunch and then bought myself a new pair of shoes, a new shirt, new bras and a few other small things that I saw that I wanted. left the house at 10 and didnt get back until 5pm. What a wonderful day that I had. I have never in my life spent what I did yesterday on makeup but really liked the way it made me feel. As crazy as what my life has been it was so fun to just spend the day doing things for me. Of course then I had to come back home and work on the house until 11 to try and get it ready for company this weekend but it was worth it.

What a nice way to spend the day....now that sounds great to me too - I've never done that but I may have to give it some thought ...sounds like you really enjoyed it AND needed it :) Good for you !

Sounds like you had a wonderful day of pampering :) Sometimes, we need to take time for ourselves, and it's great you did that for yourself!

I have not spend more then 2 hours away from my daughter since the day that she was born. After reading your post, I realize that I NEED to get away, even if just for a day!!! Glad you shared your story!!!!! :)

that sounds wonderful!! I agree with TroubleT though, adding a good friend would be awesome!!

But sometimes you just NEED to do things alone :)


I went and got my nails done again last week..hadn't done it in forever :) Felt good to be pampered for an hour :)

Every woman needs to do this every so often! I have seriously been thinking of hiring someone to come in and stay with Cali so I can have a full day to myself. I use to work full time and had puppies and they were alone while I worked but for some reason I can't keep Cali in her playpen for more than a couple of hours with out feeling bad.
