A note FROM Pat (Muffie's Mom) Pat wanted this posted on her behalf. I have cut and pasted the message, and there has been no edits from me. ************************************************** *** Thank you so very much for forwarding the messages to me. They all were very kind and sweet words that everyone posted and I truly appreciate everything that was said. It's a sad thing that a "forum" causes so much tension for some people. MANY have left BEFORE me. Even more will probably leave AFTER me and not because of MY leaving but because of all the "pettiness" that is on this forum. I truly don't think some people realize what they are doing to other people with all the one upmanship, people not liking one another, twisting someone's words around, on and on and on! It got to the point where it wasn't worth it to me to get on the web site. It became stressful reading what people wrote and them going back and forth trying to make people believe that what they were saying was the ONLY way! That is not what life is about. I was more than happy to help everyone that I did and hopefully those changes they made will remain a part of their life so they will stay healthy and keep exercising. You never know - we might have saved someone's life by helping them change to a healthier way of living. God bless you all. Pat __________________ |

That stinks. I can't believe people would say things to make people feel like they can't come on here anymore. :( Constructive critisism is fine, but outright nastiness is not. Sometimes I feel like some people are trying to push their beliefs on others so much that it becomes overbearing. State your opinion nicely, and move on. Everyone is entitled to that. It's like if we had a debate on abortion. I'm not gonna convince you otherwise...especially on a forum. Not only that, but it's like child psychology. And what I mean by that is, if you say something nicely and like you are concerned, you MIGHT change people's minds (it's happened to me here on YT b/c I felt like the person was truly concerned about the wellbeing of Baby). But...if you say things in a mean way, do you really think someone is going to change their mind? I don't think so!! :p Anyway, I'm gonna get off stage now. And remember this is JMHO! :D PS. I REALLY hope that Muffie's Mom reconciders her decision. :) |
I for one hope that this is just a temporary break for Pat and that she returns when she discovers that this forum is only getting better. I feel that this forum is finally returning to the friendly, kind, warm and nice place it was about a year ago when I first joined. It was smaller then and we blamed some of the drama on the fact that the membership got so large, but in reality, I think the largeness of this forum is what is ultimately making it better!! There is such diversity and different views that it is impossible to "control" the board with just one opinion or one way of thinking. We are now able to have civil, free flowing, respectful discussions on topics that are somewhat controversial allowing us to all learn as a result. The members quickly learn the rues, which are for the most part fair and evenly applied by the mods and admin and people play within the rules by and large. I am happy with the changes I have seen lately and the calmer atmosphere and showing of respect by most. Not so much bashing and negativity and more positive and friendly helpful posts. It is refreshing!! :thumbup: Pat...I hope you return soon. We miss you!! |

Just what the He** is wrong with these people!! why do they have to start s***! why can't you just be happy & befriend one another? and help one another and who gives a damn if its teacup, dinky, or teenie or what ever people want to whine about! for crying out loud! there are good people(friends) that are leaving as well as some newbies.. QUIT with the ANAL remarks! as soon as someone says Hi Iim new here and I have a new teacup! :eek: you come out of the woodwork and pound it into the ground! I might be in trouble for this and maybe suspended and I will take my punishment but not until I get this off my chest! time and time again administrator has said if you don't like what the topic is about or can't respond with any dignified response DONT GO THERE!! quit with acting like your the most popular person here or Im an authority on this matter or here's the proof!! and shove this crap down peoples throats and yada yada enough already!! I apologize to those who know nothing and right now Im actualy behaving like the people Im talking about! and those that know what I am talking about!! who has been a part of this gift for gab and discouraging newbies and others grow up! It's a good thing Im not a monitor your A** would be booted off and I wouldn't care what your status is! I would refund your money! ASP!
