YES- thanks for reminding me of this movie- I have seen it about 6 times- I love it. |
"You make me want to be a better man." < Jack Nicholson says it to Helen Hunt... > As Good as it Gets... < "Sometimes you've got to specifically go out of your way to get into trouble. It's called fun." >Good Morning Vietnam< "Violet, you're turning violet, Violet!" >Williy Wonka< The old one. |
"you talkin to me?" Robert DeNiro in Taxi Driver "You can't handle the truth" Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men "Make my day" Clint Eastwood "I do wish we could chat longer, but I'm having an old friend for dinner." Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the lambs. |
"There's no crying in baseball" From A League of Their Own. "What you talking about Willis" From Different Strokes "Gosh!" From Napoleon Dynamite "I feel the need for speed" From Top Gun Those are a few I can think of. |
Omg, we quote the no crying line all the time here.....whenever someone is being pouty :D The line from A Christmas story...."you'll put your eye out, kid"..... We also quote Elvis Presley....thank you, thank you, berry much. Used whenever delivers a particularly good zinger ;) My absolute favorite quote is really a whole scene....the entire soliloguy delivered by Kevin Cosner in Bull Durham...."I believe in the soul, the man's and the woman's the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sonntag are self-indulgent over-rated crap; I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone; I believe that there should be a consitutional amendment outlawing astro-turf and the designated hitter; I belive in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas Day rather than Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days." Susan Sarandon's response....."oh my". Had to do some minor editing. I like this part of the movie so much....I can tell you that it begins exactly 22 minutes into the movie...HA. |
Dont laugh at me but I love all of Dory's lines on Finding Nemo. I love it when she tried to speak whale. So heres a quote I like form Nemo and one from my favorite movie Indiana Jones. Dory on Nemo: "Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming" Indiana Jones: "I'm like a bad penny, I always turn up" |
My all time favorite movie is Gone with the Wind, but all of those are taken. Another favorite is Clueless... When they are playing tennis in gym class and Amber says "My plastic surgeon doesn't want me doing any activity where balls fly at my nose." Dionne answers, "Well, there goes your social life." And when Murray is trying to tell Cher her the boy she likes is gay he tells her "He's a cake boy. A disco dancin', Oscar Wilde readin', Streisand ticket holdin' friend of Dorothy, know what I'm sayin'?" |
:Face it girls, I'm older and have more insurance." Fried Green Tomatoes. |
You guys stole all my favorites, so here's something different. My favorite line is the last, but the first four set it up. "Would you like to go out tomorrow?" "I have class then." "What about Friday?" "I have class then, too." "Well, why don't you call me when you have no class?" -- Rodney Dangerfield, Back to School |
Love Gone with the Wind, was Scarlett for Halloween for a couple of years. There is a quote from the movie I love but my mind is having memory issues right now. Annie...."I love you daddy Warbucks" and "Leaping Lizards" ...best movie ever...could be bias look like annie and was in look a like contests when younger. And "Happy Christmas Harry" and "That dogs name is Fluffy"...Harry Potter |
I just thought of another one..."Just bennnnnndddd, and snap!!" from Legally Blond!! The first time we saw that movie I laughed so hard and my son was just in 3rd grade and he was doing the bend and snap (had no idea what it meant) and he had us all rolling!!! |
I have another one: This one is for Bugaboo's less than desirable top line. "His legs are strong Ms. Gump, the strongest I've ever seen, but his back is as crooked as a politician." |

LOL that's my fave movie, too. My two faves quotes from the movie are when Travis is standing up giving his acceptance speech for the most tardies... "I would like to say this. Tardiness is not something you can do on your own. Many, many people contributed to my tardiness. I would like to thank my parents for never giving me a ride to school, the LA city bus driver who took a chance on an unknown kid and last but not least, the wonderful crew from McDonalds who spend hours making those egg McMuffins without which I'd never be tardy. " and when Cher's looking for her shirt for the driving test: Cher: Lucy, you know I don't speak Mexican. Lucy: I NOT A MEXICAN. Cher: What's the matter with her? Josh: Lucy's from El Salvador. Cher: So? Josh: So, it's a completely different country. You get mad if anyone thinks you live below Sunset. sorry and one more: "Well, some teachers are trying to lowball me, Daddy. And I know how you say, 'Never accept a first offer', so I figure these grades are just a jumping off point to start negotiations!" |
does your dog bite,,, the man asks the owner,, the owner says no, the man pets the dog and the dog bites him... the man says to the dog owner, i thought you said your dog dont bite.... the owner says, that not my dog!!!!!! pink panther... |
From my all time favourite, (I could recite you all the words!) "I'll never let go, Jack." Or! "I love waking up in the morning, not knowing whats gonna happen or where I'm gonna end up. I reckon life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it. To make each day count." ..from the very genius of Titanic. The first quote because it has so much emotion and meaning behind it. |
