WooHoo! Finally have a wedding date! My fiance & I have been engaged since Jan '04. We had planned on having a short engagment, less than 6 months. Long story short, we are still un-married due to family 'issues.' 2 of his brothers are in Iraq and my mother is in prision. Well, we've FINALLY set a wedding date. June 25th of this year. 3 months away! It's going to be a tiny wedding (just family and a few close friends) but I just can not wait. The only 2 things that still need to be planned/taken care of is photography and our honeymoon. We are getting married up in Idaho (where his parents live) and are looking for a pretty affordable honeymoon idea (neither of our parents are helping out with costs and we're trying to save up to buy a house). We were thinking about something in Canada maybe, but neither have been up there. Does anyone live in Canada? Does anyone have any suggestions for things to do on the west side of Canada (Victoria, B.C.)? Or any other affordable ideas? |
:congrats: That is wonderful news. I know you are very excited. And trust me I know about having someone in Iraq and having to plan the wedding around that so that they can be there. Except mine was the groom so I couldn't get married without him!! LOL :D I hope that everything turns out wonderful for you and Congrats on joining the June Wedding club. My anniversary is June 16th so we aren't that far apart!!! Again CONGRATS on the up coming wedding!! |
What wonderful news! Congratulations on setting a date! :) My husband and I were dead broke when we were married. Our honeymoon was the drive from Las Vegas to North Carolina. We have so many funny stories from that trip it makes me laugh every time :) I'm so happy for you! Keep us up-to-date with your plans ;) |
Oh yes, and we were married on June 20th :) Lucky month! |
congrats :D my birthday is the 22nd of june :D |
Congrats PinkMartini! Victoria is very picturesque, there's some great Chinese food in the Vancouver area, and there are the Butchart Gardens in Victoria, which is quite famous. I haven't been up to Victoria in ages, but it's a nice place from what I remember. http://www.butchartgardens.com |
Thanks girls! Thanks for that link Fasteddie. 55 acres of flowers sounds like my kinda place. Now I gotta talk my fiance into it  |
