Every State has a State Controllers Office. And it's full of Unclaimed Property.
I did a search yesterday. I had a bank account from when I was a kid. :)
Not much, but hey, I'll take it. :D :D
Then I searched my parents, they have $20.000 in there! I am their heir, so I'm going to claim it. I can use it for my boys Med School. :D I just heard something on the radio when I drove the kids to school. I said, hey I'll give it a try, So glad I did!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: Just thought I would Post this, who knows, you just might have something in your State. It's easy to do, just do a State Controllers Office search, and click on Unclaimed Property. Good Luck to you all :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Ive looked before and I didnt have anything. BUt it was a lot of fun searching. I really cant believe they dont make it more known to people. I heard about it from my old boss and she has some unclaimed money that she found on there.

Ours prints lists in the newspaper fairly regularly. I've checked, but trust me, I know where ALL my money's located :)

The newspaper here periodically has an insert with names of people with unclaimed property. I always looked at the list and thought to myself "Who are these losers who can't keep track of their own stuff???" THEN I SAW MY NAME. Turns out, it was $1000 worth of stock certificates. I never sold them, and 5 years later, they are worth $7000.

I am richer, But I FEEL LIKE A FOOL. :D
