Just thought you might want to see what I ordered yesterday. My husband and I are moving to Tucson, and this should arrive in the fall. It is a 2007 Solstice GXP.

Thanks to Cindy (know to YT members as livingdustmops) who has great influence with the dealers!

I am sooo jealous! I've been looking at that vehicle online for the last few weeks!

There was one given away at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta. As soon as I saw that red Solstice on the field 10 feet away from me, I fell in love with it!

Yes, I'm getting that color. You know what it's called? ANGRY. sounds better than Yellow, doesn't it?

Had a convertible when I was much younger, it was a man magnet...better than walking down the street nekkid :eek:

Hubby has a huge, huge, man grabbin attention truck. He was working out of town and I had to drive it every once in awhile. I got loads of attention from men....told hubby who said...."oh, they all want you". Told him..."nope, they jus' wanna drive my truck" :D

hehe . . . my color is MYSTERIOUS! I can dream for a while, can't I? Perhaps within the next few months I'll have one on order or driving to wherever my MYSTERIOUS vehicle is located!

The new color is called "Mean" not angry :p and it will go 0-to-60 in under 5.5 seconds...(Can't have a woman your age driving an angry car just a mean car).

I am looking for doggles in the same color for Edie so the two of them can cruise together...

Look out Tucson here they come.

Its beautiful!! I too am going through a mid life crisis and I'm looking at the BMW Z3, the one I want isn't new, as they don't make them any ore, but it is what I want!!

Yes, I am getting a carseat and doggles for Edie so we can cruise around Tucson together. I can't wait!! But first I NEED TO SELL THIS HOUSE...but that's another thread. :)

Yes, fasteddie. It is the one with the larger engine. I usually buy very inexpensive cars and drive them for 10-12 years. This is my first automotive extravagance.

alisonJ: Then you definitely deserve it! :) It's a great value for what you are getting, I'd probably get the Solstice GXP over the Miata too if I was in the market for a convertible... You've gotta show us pictures of Edie in the driver's seat after you get the sweet ride! :)

Awesome car.....I keep dreamin and maybe when I sell my house I will get a nicer car..i 'm hopin' anyway cuz right now I drive a 1994 Chevy Van with over 200,000 miles...and no radio or air conditioning...yuck....i am paying my dues though and zi know the new car is in my future :)

I drive an 03 Mitsubishi Eclipse. It is silver-grey with blue seats. I saw the new 06 Eclipse at the dealers in what they call Sunrise something, or Sunset something.....anyway it is sort of red/orange, but beautiful red/orange. I'd love to trade my boring grey one in for that!!! But, I'm retired and can't see paying that much (or, rather, can't afford to pay that much!!!)

You have fun with that car. It will go great in AZ.
