HBO exposing Puppy Mills...
 
Hi everyone! I just want to publically (as public as it gets on YT with 8k members :D ) applaud HBO for taking the risk and being the first major cable network to show a undercover documentary on puppy mills 'Dealing Dogs' Feb 21, 2006 10pm ET. :bravo:

I for one will be watch this program when it comes on and , I know it will be so very hard :( . I ask those of you who have cable watch as well (the ratings can help influence more stories like this being made) and spread the word to your friends, loved ones, co-workers, mailperson, etc. :thumbup:

More people need to be made aware of what is going on at these puppy mills and to STOP buying from pet stores! :mad: If they knew how those puppys get there, I swear people could put these stores out of business. :thumbup:

Yes, I will be watching too, even though I know it'll be soo hard and I'm sure I'll shed many tears. I hope lots of people tune in and learn about the horrors of puppymills...This is the only way they will be shut down, if people learn to say no to buying that poor little puppy in the window :(

I hope this leads to LOTS more because this needs to be out in the open ...I bet 3/4ths of this country don't know what a puppy mill is or where a Pet Store puppy actually comes from ....the percentage is probably more like 90% of the country.....maybe this will help get some action to shut down those evil places.

Thanks so much for posting this link! I can't imagine those poor babies being mistreated in the most severe way possible! I cried just looking at the headline...Most animals (especially dogs) IMO are better than people and deserve to be treated with respect and integrity! The sad point; it's not just the dogs that are being abused there are tons of animals out there that are mistreated and abused by testing and experiments! People need to be aware of these puppy mills so we can stop this mistreatment. :mad:

I agree...Hopefully this is just one of the many shows to come regarding puppymills. Most people have noooo clue where these dogs come from nor do they think to even care! I have a friend who fell in love with a puppy at a pet store and bought him...When I asked what breeder she got him from, she said that the pet store told her that it was from a reputable breeder and he came with a pedigree and blah blah blah, so it must be true! It's really sad....And the worst part is that she's one of the biggest animal lovers ever, seriously and she didn't even know her poor doggy came from a puppymill!

I forgot to tell you all that last night on ABC at 11:00 pm they had a piece on there about Puppy Mills in Ohio, well guess what? they said that most the puppy mills in Ohio are in the Amish community in Holmes County. They showed video of some of the conditions and it sure enough was sad and very disturbing at the same time. :mad: :mad: I wished they would shut down all Puppy Mills.

How sad...I wish they would shut them all down too! We just have to continue educating people about pet stores and puppymills.

Tilly, Sami Ted and I will most definitly be watching! I have emailed all my family and friends and let them know and asked them to set a reminder! your right if enough viewers watch this show of the pain and mistreatment that these poor animals have to endure Im sure this will be sending a message that WE are OUTRAGED of these puppymills, and they need to be reported and shut down! and the operators be sent to prison Indefinitely!!
