My baby is growing up,,,, 3 Attachment(s) Today is my oldest daughters 15th birthday. Wow 15!!! I got up early this morning to wake the kids up for school and I caught myself just staring at her like I did when she was a baby. When she was born, she had some problems. She had meconium in her lungs and could not take her first breath of air, so they rushed her away before I can get a really good look at her. I was told that she was fine but they needed to keep an eye on her for a bit but they would bring her out to me in just a while. 7 hours later I got to see my baby for the first time. They put her on my chest and even though it was 2 in the morning I picked up the phone to call my husband to tell him, (well try and tell him,,, I was crying from so much joy) that I finally had her in my arms and that we were just checking eachother out. I see that little face when she looks at me up to this day! I am so proud of her! She is growing to be a beautiful young woman. I got this feel of,,,,,,, I sure did something right! Both me and my husband were talking last night and both cried on how blessed we are to have a teenage daughter who is so loving, caring, and such a good girl. I look at my brothers kids who are a little older then Des (6 months and 18 months) giving him so much trouble and it scares me. I know all it can take is hanging around the wrong friends or meeting a guy (Oh man, most feared!) thant can change her. But I can only pray that she stays strong, clear headed, smart, and continue to do well in school. And most of all,,, feel she can come to me with anything. Although I miss those first everythings like first tooth, first steps, first word, first day of school,,,,,, ok now I'm really crying! I look foward to the the first that have yet to come. Graduation, marrage (if she chooses), Oh man hate to jump the gun here, but first baby. I'm only 37 but can't wait to be a grandma! Of course when they are older and are ready! Here are a few baby pictures I wanted to share with you all. This is what I saw today and will probably always see when I look at her. My big brown eyed, no hair till she was 2, chubbie, glow worm, (we used to say she looked just like her glow worm with her chubbie face and bald head) cuttie! Happy b-day Des!!!!! :birthday2 :Birthday3 You will always be mom's baby girl! |
What a beautiful baby girl! I wish her a happy birthday and a wonderful day! |
Oh, the time goes by so quickly doesn't it? Your daughter sounds exactly like I'd describe mine (she just turned 13 a few months ago). I wish so many good thing for her (and yours). But, sometimes, just sometimes...I wish I could make her small again ;) As a joke, I used to press on her head and tell her I wanted her to stay small. When she was about 3-4, she asked me if I used to do this. I responded yes....she said "do it again"....I did it and said "it didn't work". She looks at me at says...."that's ok, momma, I'll stay wittle if you want me too". Happy Birthday to your wonderful daughter. Gotta tell ya though, I'm gonna be lookin' for that Help me my daughter's driving me crazy post....cause somedays I feel that way about mine  |
Wow, you made me cry! How lucky your daughter is to have such a wonderful mother! It is not only your daughters birthday, but your's too. It is the day that you became a mother. Her birth started you out on a new and wonderful journey! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you both!!!!! |
Thought of something else...of all the things we'd like to do for our children...if I could save my daughter from the heartbreak some stupid boy is gonna cause someday....(and it's gonna happen, happened to us all at one time or another).....I'd save her from that pain. And since I can't....I'm gonna hunt him down and kill him ;) |

LOL,,,,,, that's only the beginning!!!! How cute! My Des would strip down to her undies the second the front door was shut. I look down and she's head for her room to get her blanket while scratching her butt,,,,, lol. We always remind of her of her nude days. And she still remembers. Hell she was like 6 when she stopped! LOL |

I have a friend who is the single father to two girls. He told me he always made it a point to scare the living daylights out of any boy his girls brought home. Said he always pretty much let them know...that he knew....what they were thinking...LOL. When my neice, (my fav in the whole world) got married a couple of years ago, and I love her husband....but after the ceremony and everyone's congradulating the happy couple...I leaned in close and told him..."if you ever hurt her, I will hunt you down, do you understand?" LOL. |

Friend's baby was a stripper, she'd get him dressed, turn around, and he was nekkid again!! I think Txshopper posted that she caught her three year old, naked and running down the sidewalk with a bucket on his head. That visual made me laugh. |
