Wisconsin Dells..........and Gabby Hello fellow Yorkie lovers! First question: Has anyone ever gone to Wisconsin Dells, WI???? If so.........info please!!!! Secondly, I am already sickened because I don't know if I should take Gabby or not. There are pet friendly accommodations there, however, I don't know if it's very fair for her to get stuck in the room all day, everyday. And to endure a 7 hour car trip.......(ugh) Then...... I hate that although she can stay with family members, it's still not "us"........ Booo-hooo. We're not even going until end of May, but I'm already at odds on what to do...... Never thought I'd get this attached to a dog, but I have, and only after 4 weeks......Gee, thanks mom......haha |
Loki was about 7 months old when we went on a 6 hour car trip. He slept most of the way. Unless she gets car sick, don't worry about the ride. I've never been to the dells so I can't help you there. |
I went a few years ago and had a pretty good time. Mt daughter goes 2 times a year to the big waterpark resorts and loves them. She stayed at the Kalahari and sadi ti was great. Last time she went a group rented a condo type suite that was gorgeous. More like a home setting. |
You have to go on the roller coaster "Zeus". It's the BEST. It's @ the go-cart place :) I would never bring Stewie there. |
I've been to the Dells a few times (since it's so close). It's very fun if you like water parks and other kinds of entertainment parks. I've never taken Trixie along, because I haven't had her that long. Trixie doesn't mind traveling, and a 7 hour car ride would be nothing for her... But if she'd have to stay in the hotel all day.. Plus even though some hotels are pet-friendly, they require you to put them in a cage when you are gone or not to leave them alone at all in the room. She might have a better time if you leave her with family or friends!!! |
The car ride wouldn't concern me - we take Rowdy for lots of loooong car rides (we travel a lot in the summer). We do occasionally stay in a hotel (mostly we stay in our 5th wheel), and when we are in the hotel, if we occasionally have to leave him - I only leave him for as short a time as possible and I worry constantly that someone (who works at the hotel with access) will come in and take him. I'm probably paranoid - but that's the way I feel. |
Well, thanks for the imput. It's looking more like we are going to take her, because the place where we will be staying is completely pet friendly, and I don't plan to leave her in the room for hours and hours at a time anyway. |
