any nail techs. in the house.. got my nails done this weekend and they look great, was wondering if anyone knows where i can get an electric nail file like the ones they use in the salon. i can do nails myself and dont want to use the regular files, i need something real quick and up to date so i can refill whenever it needs it |
I believe what you want is a dremel Tool (sp) that is what my girl uses, they have all different size attachments,, I would say Lowes, maybe Walmart? |
are they the good ones, the professional ones? |
I believe so, that is what my girl uses in her salon, and she has been doing it for years 10+ http://search.ebay.com/search/search...&fsop=1&fsoo=1 There are alot on ebay. |
jUST GO ONLINE AND YOU CAN FIND LOTS OF THEM. wHAT THEY HAVE AT HARDWARE STORES IS wrong Whoops cap was locked!!! :p BE CAREFUL... you can burn your nail and make a hole REAL EASY. I did most all my customers by HAND and was just as fast as the drill girls and the customers liked it better. if you use a heavy coarse grate CURVED file first and the do the fill and then medium and then fine and then BUFF (all these last ones you can get on a 3 or 4 way buffer file. One of the BEST files is the CURVED ZEBRA file. You know it because its CURVED and lookes like a zebra. With one of the curved zebras and a fine file and buff you can do nails REALLY fast. |
I was gonna say ( like above) Be careful, my girl only uses it to take the length down, not on the top of my nail, she does all that by hand too. |
do you know the name of it? ive been on line all moring looking for the right one. dont know what to get... i need a brand? also cant get on ebay, dont have an account but would by online if i could find it.. |
i must also say, i want to be able to file down the acrylic on top of the nail, that what i really want it for |
What is "IT".. I'm confused???? You girls wold die knowing I sold my electric file and my nail dryer(the fancy light kind) last year for $5 at a yardsale..LOL.. I was cleaning out the old stuff and just didn't need them anymore |

Trust me .. the CURVED COURSE ZEBRA will take them right down EASY and FAST . Like a couple SECONDS. The curve contours to the shape of your nail very nicely so no nicks. They cost anywhere from $1.00 to $3.00 |
