I dance with Crystal all the time and she just looks at me and almost smiles (she loves
it) but I only sing in the shower. If I were singing to her I would sing "You Are The Sunshine Of My Smile" yah!!!!

Fessing up to being a total dork...ask anyone that knows me well.
I sing all the time to anyone captive in the car or no one at all when they can run for cover. I can sing girl scout camp songs, old Mitch Miller songs and a pile of goofy songs my grandma taught me for about 5 hrs without repeating any...ask my kids, I sang all the way home from Williamsburg once.

Each of my kids has their 'own' song...Bret's is 'You are my Sunshine' (nods to Gymbo and Sherry Lynn) Chelsea's is 'My Girl' and Tyler's is 'Baby Face'. As teenagers they are mostly appalled when I sing to them and will literally beg me not to do it front of their friends....ha ha, now that's leverage!

The dogs are my best audience...they especially like Billie Holiday.

i saw this thread and just knew it was for me. i am the biggest dork when it comes to Sirius, its not even funny. Sirius actually knows what he likes and doesnt like to listen to: classical is a HUGE no- he barks and barks and barks until i change it. BUT he looooves kelly clarkson. lol so i always sing kelly to him and he loooves it. he dances with me allll the time- he stands up and puts his paws on my legs and we dance around. i know i must sound like the biggest nerd right now, but its ok. Also we like to sing to pussycat dolls. lol sirius is very girly in his music selection... i wonder why :rolleyes:
at night i sing him "you are my sunshine" and rub his belly. lol when i write this stuff down, im like wow i need to be institutionalized...

I drive my family crazy with singing- I will just bust into song because a word reminds me of a song and I am really good at making up the words when I don't know the correct ones. They harrass me all the time about that. WEll, right now I am listening to the soundtrack from A lot like love or Live from the Mountain Music Lounge-Volume 11 or Celtic Woman and I sing along and my pup thinks I am crazy. She just lays with her head between her paws looking like she wishes I would be quiet but I guess we don't have our special song. I need to work on that.

When I play music, I ask Muffie if she wants to dance and she gets all excited. So I pick her up and hold her while I dance. She loves it. If I put her down, she gets excited and wants me to pick her up again. She's been that way for years now.

My kids used to sing that one in the car until I was ready to kill them.

I am a singaholic- I sing any and everything! Random songs always pop into my head, and I always change them to fit either my bf or Olivia. (My bf has said to me that I used to sing to him more before Olivia- now it's all about her! :p ) Olivia would sing anything with me if she could- I can just tell she'd be just like me!

I don't sing, I'd sound like Lucy Ball, can't hit a note. But we do dance to CD's.
Kids think I'm nuts, but princess loves it. :D

Buddy songs
 
I have all kinds of made up songs for Buddy, when we are home alone together. The latest one is when I was cleaning house but he gets so tired following me around that occasionaly he will go lay down and I sing "Buddy loves to hear his Mommy sing, cuz then he knows where is Mommy is". As soon as I stopped singing, sure enough he'd come looking for me.

Other songs in my repetoire....King Buddy; Cutie Patootie....oh to be in love!
