Wow guys I also have wondered about this makeup. I haven't wore makeup in a very long time as I never seem to buy the right shade and it always looks like I have a ton on. I would love to try this to see how it does. Going to check the website out to see if it is within my budget. Might be nice for me to do something nice for me.

Well so much for that. Went to their website. $59.95. Not in my budget now. Guess it will have to wait a while. Tried to look on ebay but there is alot out there so will have to look more when I have more time.

I think that is for the whole starter kit with videos and all that stuff. The face makeup (if I remember correctly) is about $25 for a couple of ounces which will last you for months! It just takes a very light dusting of the powder to even out skin tone.

I'm really tickled to see that so many people think as much of these products as I do. I'm very tactile and don't like to buy things unless I can actually touch them. So, after seeing the commercials for years I never tried them until I went to Ulta and tried them!

I know I threw this out there earlier, but I really mean it. If anyone is interested in some Lancome products (powder eye shadows, etc.) that are either new or VERY slightly used, PM me and I will send to you. I was pleased with their products for years, but my skin has become oily and they no longer work for me.

BTW-Both Ulta and Sephora are really good about taking product back-even if opened. Just hold on to your receipt until you know you want to keep what you've bought.

Did I mention that I love 'em!!! :D

I don't have dry skin - but I do have old skin :D so I put on a light layer of moisturizer before I dry my hair - which gives it time to soak in and then I put on my Bare Minerals foundation. I don't think you would have to at all, but if you are concerned about dry skin, then just put on some moisturizer, let it soak in and then put on the Bare Minerals.

i know this makeup is great! i love it.. i am just always so much in a hurry to do all the steps, my only problem is.. i've yet to find a powder that will stay on my face/skin for more than 5 hours.. i've tried to pack this baby on and it would still fade away..

i'm either really oily.. or my skin just won't absorb it.. but i do like my powder/foundation from Laura Mercier that i've gotten.. it has stayed on longer than most that i've tried..

but i'm still in search of the perfect powder.

but i will say that i love bare minerals blush! it goes on SO natural i love it! my mom was actually the one who got me into bare minerals

I think the key is to put it on really lightly....If you need extra coverage on certain spots use a small brush then buff with all over coverage. I don't use the mineral veil - it makes me to light- just the make-up powder.

Heehee!!! Only if the before shots can be from BEFORE I turned 40!!! Hahaha

Too bad that Bare Minerals hadn't been developed yet! :D :D :D

i've tried this.. but when it's on really light.. i look like i have nothing on and i look dead lol.. :eek: i hate my skin :( and with this pregnancy.. im wishing i had the nice glow instead of the dry, ewwie, acne skin..

I never wore much makeup but would love to find a foundation and blush that didnt make me look like a clown. I can never find the right color of foundation. If I happen to get any money for my birthday then maybe I will order some, but there is always something else that needs to be bought it seems.

I mentioned earlier how much I LOVE their make-up (foundation). But, I would like to add that I LOVE just as much their blush, clear radiance, glee shimmer, and especially the eye liner powder. Applying the eye liner shadow dry adds a nice natural soft liner. Then applied wet it gives a more dramatic look for like night time out on the town!

Also, their eye shadows (especially the gold) are wonderful.

Boye! I sound like a commercial, LOL :p

Off topic but yet on topic is the lip plump gloss from Sephora. It really DOES plump the lips. It's the best ever!! It's a tad pricey but since it works and lasts a long time I feel it's money well spent. Besides, I am not one to risk surgery on my lips just to have them more fuller, LOL.

I think Bare Minerals should all give us free stuff for all the free advertising, hahahaha. :D

I know 2 people that tried it and hated it. The one person was going to throw hers out so I asked her if I could try it. I hated it too. :( Just made my old lady eye wrinkles show up MORE. Everyplace I had wrinkles it EMPHASIZED them :eek:

Then you may not have applied it properly (for your skin) or something. There is a trick for some people to get it on the way that enhances the skin - and it will enhance most all skins. I like it applied with a makeup sponge, rather than a brush

My 84 year old (wrinkled) mom :D wears it and she is a wrinkle factory and she looks GREAT!

I watched QVC for several presentations and listened to all the tips and questions before I ordered it. That really helped me to be able to apply it properly.

But then again, it may just not be for you - what would this world be like if we were all the same!!! :)

Sherry - put the TROWEL away and try going light with it :p :p ...that\'s what everyone said in the posts before...and I have a feeling maybe ..just MAYBE ...you\'re too critical of yourself ! :D
