Then stay home if you can't wear a mask, it's for your own safety, it's your life you're protecting. If you don't cherish living, don't care if you live or die, then take chances of not wearing a mask, keep in mind, you have a grandmother you live with, do you cherish her life or do you want to carry this virus home with you and infect your senior grandmother. There are many things you have to consider when you want to go out and not wear a mask because you can't. Always your choice .

You didn’t read everything I posted! You can not expect someone’s mental health to withstand being in a house for 5 months. You obviously are not educated on mental health at least not enough to understand it. The masks aren’t meant to protect yourself anyway they say it’s for others. You sure are assuming a whole heck of a lot aren’t you? The one time I did go into a store it was a Petsmart! I’m not going into crowded stores trying to get into people faces! I went into a big store with 3 people in it! I didn’t cough, sneeze and rarely touched anything. If everyone is wearing a mask and they work then there is nothing for me to pick up and take home! It is my choice and I don’t do it because I fear people like y’all who get on your high horses and think it’s ok to harass people just because you can’t understand their situation.

There is no need to argue or fight and no one here is harassing you, and no need to defend yourself. The more they find out about this virus things change day to day. We are all making sacrifices.

I didn’t start it. I was told it was fine for people to harass those not wearing masks and it’s not. I feel like everywhere I turn I’m having to defend myself and those like me about this and is tiring, depressing and everything else. I cry after everyone one of these kind of arguments because no one understands or even tries to. Everyone just wants to shame me. You all seemed to miss that I said I wasn’t going out.

It's not just about you and your problems, Taylor, what ever Maryland says about it. It's about caring for and looking after the other person, responsibility to our society who pays the taxes which fund your disability checks. CDC and WHO say mask wearing is essential to keep others safe from your and all our droplet-spread. I've quarantined since March, get my full exercise program in at home and wear masks, gloves and at times even eye shields when I must go to the doctor or stop by to order pizza twice, grocery store for 10 mins. once, careful to keep distance even masked and gloved.

If we keep having economic depression due to job loss, i.e. tax dollar losses, the government will reduce your disability benefits considerably as you can stay at home if you panic or tremble around others. Think of all the people you and other non-mask wearers could just exhale onto and pass along killer germs just because you didn't stay home. It's very little to ask considering those first responders out there working like dogs to try to care for all of the sick. We won't conquer this disease until we ALL get fully serious about quarantining from one another, masking, gloving up each and every time we go out. If it's an aerosolized germ, God help us. Please put this country's safety above yourself and think of those you could hurt w/out a mask. I know what a good-hearted person you are and respect you mightily for your defense and championing of dogs so just extend that big heart a bit for the sake of us humans.

In order to dispute some of your facts I would have to get political and that’s against the rules. You are unable to see anything other then your opinion and yourself. You are making decisions strictly out of fear. I chose to use the facts. You do not know what it is like and you are unable to understand the full mental impact and how many people are milking themselves due to lock downs. You can chose to believe and feel how you want just like me. If I need to leave the house and go to a store or such I will do so and it’s not being selfish like you are trying to say I am. Sure I bet more then half the people not wearing them could wear one but don’t want to so they lie about a health issue but there are a small percentage of people out there who really can’t and that staying home may not be something they can do. Don't know what facts you're using or claim are political but the Surgeon General of the United States and all health care organizations of renown, all with the very latest research and facts on this virus, are strongly advising, actually begging us to all social distance, wash our hands and wear masks, even if uncomfortable or inconvenient, to help stop this pandemic, We can only hope that something will stop this virus if we citizens can't. "Let it go", you say? Why? This is important to our world's and this country's population - our fellow human beings, our very families!! The “facts” did change the CDC, Dr.F and The Who all at the beginning said masks were useless and there was even tests to show how little each fabric worked. It is proven fact that if a person tested positive for COVID but died or something else they were being marked down has a COVID death. It is a fact that they were getting false positives. It is a fact that test were marked in the system as positive when they weren’t. Believe what you want and your going to anyway so what the heck is the point of this back and forth? NO ONE is going to change their mind!

In the interest of not wishing to being accused of 'harassing' anyone, I'm not trying to further or settle some disagreement with another poster or enter into a 'political' discussion on this thread, which has strayed off hand sanitizers for the present, just trying to share CDC's August 7,2020 advisory so maybe we can defeat Covid-19 in our country this year if we just follow our best medical authorities' advice until and if we know otherwise and hopefully, that's not considered 'political'. That was in March.....when the government was said to be fearing personal medical equipment shortages becoming a huge problem for healthcare workers but they've evolved their position as enough face masks were finally numerous enough to be available for all. With any medical issue, the latest, best-sourced research carried out, healthcare providers and empirical information reported, gathered and studied, positions taken and published, peer-reviewed and further digested and coordinated, the latest information from the Centers for Communicable Diseases is usually the best advice we as a nation can rely on until and if we get better, more trusted medical expert resources. Why are you taking this personally? It's not at all about you, Taylor, or wanting to continue an argument but a discussion of a health crisis in our country, our world, costing lives, jobs, fears of economic depression, not taking out any imagines aggressions on one another. Whatever my initial response was it is interesting that you see it as an "attack" rather than a reply to your post on this public forum. Why in the world would I want to attack or sanction harassing any member of this forum? I thought I was just replying to someone not trusting the science and failing to wear masks based on faulty information. Masks are never 100%, nor is sterilization, soap washing, vaccines, full protective suits with face shields and breathing systems or any protective measures involved in trying to prevent disease spread, even medical grade masks as I understand it, nothing really is ever 100% but helps contain disease spread. But masks help prevent our droplet-spread and help prevent all of it getting into our nostrils and mouths or our droplet-spread getting into others' nostrils and mouths. It's a simple ask or difficult ask in many cases of citizens but getting through to our younger citizens like yourself seems very difficult. Our best medical minds the world over advise wearing face masks or whatever nose, mouth, even eye-coverings to help prevent against Covid-19 pandemic contagion, no matter how you personally nitpick it or overreact.
