Clothes, Debris Piled 6 Feet High Wash. Woman Suffocates Under House Clutter SHELTON, Wash. -- A Washington state woman who was reported missing was later found dead suffocated under a pile of debris in her home, police said. Officers found the body of Marie Rose, 62, buried under clothes Thursday, reported KIRO-TV in Seattle. Her husband reported her missing after he couldn't find her early Thursday morning. Officers found clothing, dishes and boxes crammed from floor to ceiling in every room of the couple's house. "In some areas, clothes and debris were piled 6 feet high," said Police Chief Terry Davenport of the Shelton Police Department. "Officers were having to climb over the top on their hands and knees. In some areas, their heads were touching the ceiling while they were standing on top of piles of debris." After 10 hours of searching, officers discovered the woman's body. Investigators Friday said she was smothered under the clutter. The woman's husband told KIRO-TV that she had health problems and may have been looking for the phone when she died. Fire and city code inspectors released the home back to the family after inspecting it. http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/...73/detail.html This story reminded me of Kristy's pile of laundry! Be careful Kristy. :D |
Karen, you are so bad...but I thought the same thing :p Gee, Kristy better be careful  |
Wow I am SO glad I cleaned my house! Ladies, putting things away may actually save your LIFE! You should tell your husbands that next time they think they can throw their dirty laundry on the floor instead of putting it in the hamper! LOL!!! |
Oh, that is so sad, poor people. I am such a packrat myself. I still have my ice-skates and tap shoes from the 4th grade..OMG!! I am 30 now! Well, I know what I am doing this weekend!!! |
Man, I'm glad that I have mine "trained" to put things away. I want to "STAY ALIVE"!!!! |

ROFLMAO. I thought of myself when I read the headline! |
OMG I am still laughing about this. I haven't laughed this hard in a while. |
That is crazy, unbelievable, I've seen some serious HOARDERS on tv, the ones that save every bag, newspaper, paper plate,, ever,, You must be sick to do something like that, I can't imagine. |
When my father died in 1985 my mother finally got to throw stuff out. He had rent receipts from 1965! He had the box for everything he ever bought (blenders that were thrown out years before still had a box in the closet!) He never threw anything away. But the house wasn't cluttered, he had it all piled and indexed in the basement! Me, I throw it out. I've been known to throw out things we need! Hubby hates when I clean out a drawer....it's gone! |
