Weird encounter In the grocery parking lot, when I was backing out I tapped another car; don't know where it came from as I looked both ways n behind me n saw nothing. This tan color sedan all of a sudden was right there almost dead center of my trunk. So I get out of my van pulling it forwards a bit, and the female owner and I chat a bit; I ask her if she is okay and she said sure, I am worried about you because you backed into me. I said I am sorry but despite looking somehow I missed your car. Anyhoo she says she wants my insurance info to report this and I say but what damage? She says you owe me money?? Huh? So I say okay let me get my insurance info from the car. I go to my car get it I turn around and she is GONE. Drove away I wait ten minutes no return of the lady. Anyone fathom a guess as to why ? |

What on earth That sure is a weird occurrence I will say. Maybe she changed her mind and decided you were right that there was no real damage to report and was too embarrassed to say so. Who knows what goes on in someone else's mind. Bet it had you wondering about it the whole day. I sure would have and even longer I bet. Very curious I will say. |
Perhaps she didn't want you to call the police to make a report? |
oh wow.... sounds like a she was thinking scam. I am glad you are ok |
That happens here all the time in Miami. People will wait in parking lots and get right behind you when pulling out so that you hit them and it's "your fault" and they try to bribe you with money saying you're at fault. It's a scam! Good thing you didn't give her money. She probably thought you were calling the cops and got scared lol |
I would have called the police so there was a report that there was no damage on her vehicle. She probably thought you were calling them so she took off. Owe her money? For what? That is really strange. Glad you are okay after that though. |
