Anyone own a Hoover Floor Mate or similar hard floor cleaner? So, I'm having my tiles steam-cleaned today - and HOLY HECK, they are literally a different color -- big oopsie! I let them get SO dirty, obviously . We'll blame the dogs. Anyhow, the contractor said I should get a Hoover Floor Mate for the regular cleaning so that the floors don't get in this bad of shape again. Does anyone have one and do you like it? Or do you have another one you'd recommend instead for hard floor cleaning/scrubbing...? Thanks all! |
This is the one I bought. I bought it mostly for our carpets/area rugs but used for our kitchen tiles as well. I used it maybe every other month so the carpet/tiles won't get TOO dirty. I'm pretty happy with this purchase. ![]() |
I bought the Cheap floormate at a yard sale for my dd , She used it for a while but returned it to put back in our yardsale- she said mopping was just faster. I am always looking for the best thing (I have 1850 sq ft of light colored porcelian tile) I got a PVC mop online called "the super" so far it is pretty good, I was going through sponge mops too often. I hate scrubbing floors... |
For those who have more money than time, here is an option also: Braava Robot Mop Family | iRobot I have no idea how it works since I have more time than money, but hey, some folks like them :) |
I do and I love it. |
Wow, that Braava Robot does look cool, but ugh yeah...the price. Might be so worth it though if it cleans well. After getting my tiles acid-cleaned, whoa, my floor literally looks new and is totally lighter in color now like it was when we moved in. I CANNOT believe just how much grime was on the tiles - YUCK. I feel like a total slob for letting them get that bad, wow. |
I looked at the Braava Robot.. It weight about 2.7 lbs? I wonder how that would compare to the weight put on when you scrub manually.... |

Wait... does this mean you got your grout cleaned at the same time? LOL |

Well, heck I just hate to see someone not know what a word or term means. So, I do what I can to help increase the vocabulary of all those around me. hehehe |

How much more productive can one person be after all? She is expanding her own horizons, aiding her cardiac health, exercising her pup and cleaning the floors all at one time after all!!!! |

Hi! I have the Hoover Floor Mate. This is actually the 2nd one that I have owned. I love them. They do a really good job on my linoleum floor. Not sure about tile though. |
