Any body in to restoring or showing old Volkswagens? Just curious if anyone was , as this has been a major hobby for myself and hubby for over 23 years . |
I love the old Beetles!! They are super cool! Also, the Karmann Ghia! I don't show or restore but sure appreciate an old classic car! :) |
Yep, my son just restored an old beetle and showed it at the local VW club show. Got best interior. Runs good, some rough exterior areas but is all original. |

Glad to find friends who like these great cars . I love the Karmans - but never had one. Had buses , bugs back to 1956 , 1957 convertible , rabbit, many campers in the 1960 to 1979 range . Restored and showed them all ! More photos coming .. |

Her German Birth Certificate shows everything on how she came , including The top and interior, so.. have to keep her 100 percent original .But I WAS tempted !! |
I had a 75 Beetle I bought used in 1977- had it til my dd was born in 1987. Stopped by a VW meetup a few months back at a Checkers in town and spent an hour checking out the 321 VW Clubs offerings. Boy it really bought me back! |
Well I just had to share a list of the VW's we have owned and enjoyed through our 46 years of marriage. When we were dating hubby drove a blue 1963 BEETLE. After we were married we bought a 1954 VW. We bought an automatic 1968.VW. We then bought a 1967 VW. Then we got a white conv. 1979. Our son bought a red 1967 VW.They have come and gone but hubby loves any VW he really enjoyed the pictures of your BEETLES. We had a 23 window BUS in the 70s also had a VW panel van. YES they can be ADDICTIVE:D |
