iPad. Icloud/appleID phishing? I have had three emails on my iPad telling me my Apple ID has been used on another browser. I am was asked to check on my ID via a link. They look real! Anyone else had this issue? Thank you. |

Apple Thank you. Although it looked real I did not open the link. I just wondered how common this phishing mail type was. Usually Apple has been free of such scams. |
I know Apple's known for their good security but I've been reading more and more that scammers are finding ways to get through. You'll probably see more in the future so just keep an eye out and never click on links provided by emails as Alldogboots said. |
I keep getting emails saying someone is trying to use my apple account and if I don't clink on the link and correct the problem my account will be closed. I just ignore them. I found out the hard way that if you receive an email from someone you know and there is no subject line and no message, just a link DON'T clink on it. Everyone on your email list will get hacked. Also, there might be a short message like,"how are you" or "thought you might like this". Don't click. |
Spam Thanks for your replies and warnings. It is just getting so much more difficult to pick out the scams from the real! I am suspicious of all mails now!! By hub's Yahoo account was hacked and that has caused a lot of grief. He changed PW and then closed the account. |
