Asking for some thoughts .... Our senior (11 year old) husky started limping on her right front leg tonight :-( I checked her over and don't see any punctures, no missing toenails or broken pads...but she is highly sensitive on her foot and shoulder. I'm hoping it's nothing major. She will see the vet tomorrow. She is our outside girl. Her domain is our laundry room/husband's studio at the back of the house where she has a doggie door to go in and out as she pleases.....some good thoughts and prayers would be welcome! |
Sending good thoughts for this precious one . |
Thank you Ann! She's still limping and we don't know why. It seems to be her shoulder. They sent her xray to an orthopedic specialist because there was nothing obvious. Pain meds and rest until we hear back. She's such a tough girl....hate to see her hurting! |
Sending good thoughts and prayers. Hoping your sweet girl will be good as new real soon. |
I hope your senior girl heals quickly and is soon free from pain. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you. |
Sending lots of good thoughts your way x |
Thank you all! She seems to be just a little bit better this morning....still limping but not as pronounced. Trying to keep her in the house has proven to be a bit of a struggle...but she's dealing with it! |
Good thoughts coming your way. Both paw pad (with no obvious injury) but sensitivity and shoulder pain/tenderness, might be a *neuro* thing, or nothing. Sometimes pain is referred from one area of the body to a distant area. Lets see what the ortho says. Do you have her on joint supplements |
Prayers and healing thoughts. |
The vet called about an hour ago and said the ortho consult didn't see anything on the xray. Which is good but doesn't explain the limping. She's a tough girl so if she's limping somethings definately going on. Her vet feels that it's her arthritis and that she may have aggravated her shoulder running around. When she was young she was diagnosed with an abnormally small liver (found on ultrasound when she ate a bunch of paper towels at my mom's....she was 1 1/2 yrs then) but she has never had any abnormal bloodwork results. So we r gonna decide on a good treatment for her for arthritis. She has been on pain meds so we r gonna go next week for her yearly senior bloodwork and then go from there. She's limping significantly less but she's still favoring it a bit....thank you for all your thoughts and prayers! They seem to be helping! I was rather worried it was gonna be something bad! |
