Oh canada....... I want to express my heartfelt sympathies to our loyal, devoted friends to the North, our Canadian friends. The terroristic attacks you were subjected to this beautiful day, which has resulted in the death of at least one brave young guard, is a future we are all going to have to reckon with and admit that the principles of democracy and freedom are clearly under attack. Fortunately, it seems Canada is addressing this series of attacks around Ottowa, as what they are, terrorists attacks, rather than "work place violence". Hopefully, our country will stand with Canada and steps will be taken to immediately get this type of assault on our military personnel and innocent citizens, dealt with appropriately and swiftly. God bless you all Canada.....my prayers are with you all. |
Oh my gosh, just learning about this...just terrible :(. |
Praying for the family and friends of those so tragically cut down by some kind of terrorist activity today in Canada and am including the whole country in those prayers. So shocking that such wonderful people in such a wonderful place have been touched by the heart of evil twice already this week. God bless you all. |

My condolences to our Canadian friends, I am sorry to hear of these tragic events. My heart goes out  |
I am so proud of your Parliment....watching the procedings in your Parliment this am.....I wish we had a Sargent Of Arms!!! That wonderful, brave, patriotic, protector of his country and fellow countrymen.....what an amazing person!!! He heard commotion in the hall outside his office, calmly took his weapon into the hall to investigate, calmly assessed the situation, solved the problem, neutralized the danger, and calmly walked back into his office!!! What an amazing patriot!!! I think he was once a Royal Canadian Mounted Police? Like a Texas Ranger!!! Just taking care of business! Very well deserved standing ovation and praise and paid respects to this courageous mountain of a man! And the first thing he did was call his mother!!! What a man!!!! THIS is a "gentle giant"!!!! |
Last night in Pittsburgh in the NHL they played the Canadian Anthem and had the maple leaf shown on the hockey floor. What a lovely gesture of support. Thank you it is in ways like this that our American neighbours endear themselves to us. You are a very generous nation of people. |

You are correct how-ever he rose very high to Superintendent of the RCMP and ran our OPP for quite some time. He is apparently a remarkable sharpshooter - and such a humble man it seems. |

Wonderful, wonderful man and such a humble human being! He was so humbled by the standing ovation and all the wonderful praises lavished on him from any number of people.....no arrogance, no attitude, no "I am great and deserve all this praise"....he is the kind of gentleman and person any mother would be so very proud of, any wife should revere, and any sister would be so honored to call "brother". And that is just the women in his life!!! I have always believed how a man treats his mother and the women in his life, speak volumns about his character. He is a true Amer....sorry, CANADIAN hero!!!! I wish we could have a million more of him on THIS side of the border! (And OMG!!! If he speaks FRENCH too!!!) |
