2014 Yorkie Haven Rescue Booth at the Dog Show in Houston 3 Attachment(s) It is getting to be that time of year again, where Ladyjane and her team of helpers set up a booth to at the Houston dog show to raise money for the fosters' medical care. Plus there is a fabulous raffle and a trivia game about to start on YT for tickets for the raffle, thanks to Jodi and all. I just love this time of year and appreciate all of you that have donated to the booth or raffle. Thank you! YorkieTalkers never cease to amaze me. If you are going to the dog show in Houston, please stop and say hello to everyone at the booth. I am extra thrilled because I get to attend part of the show this year. So, will be posting pictures this week. In the meantime here are a few pictures from the 2012 booth. I am sure it is even bigger and has more stuff than it did two years ago. The booth looks just awesome!! And of course, the booth manager in her pink outfit is just divine. |
Hope the show is a huge success! Can't wait to see pictures! |
Do you know what I find so sweet about shopping at this booth? (Well lots of things really!) Anyway, there are wonderful YHR volunteers standing by to dress a pup, if that is what the owner wants. I have seen so many owners leave the booth with pups dressed from head to tail with new dresses or shirts, bows, shoes, etc. It is so sweet to see. At this dog show, pets are not discouraged to attend, so there are hundreds of pets in strollers or on leashes, during the five day show. It is adorable! Hope you Texas guys and gals will come on out and support YHR while watching all the different types of competitions. |
I'm so excited to see all of the little Yorkies dressed up - especially Pippi and Armani in their new "Lips" outfits! Can't wait! |

Are any YTers planning on attending this week? |
Oh the booth is awesome!! Right now I'm actually wearing the shirt I got last year, it has a yorkie in nerd glasses and bowtie with 'Rescue' printed on it! I loveee it! Luma got a tutu and Rosie got a dress with bluebonnets and a YHR cuddle sling. Also a squeaky knit toy from Thuy (tessa327) The best part though was seeing the mascot doggies looking fabulous and rockin that stroller. So. Much. Fun!! |
I'm kinda bummed though, turns out we can only make it on one of the first two days. We will miss out on the show yorkies being judged but I still want to stop in to see the booth. :) |

Funny you should mention YHR volunteers standing by to dress a pup...Maggie got a tutu last year thanks to a YHR volunteer with hopes of making her a girly girl. She has worn the tutu a couple of times around the house but she is not pleased when I put it on her, however, she does look really cute when she wears it. My two go to the show in a stroller, Buster would sniff everything there if he weren't in a stroller...or try to. Will try to make it this year... |
Piper Girl, Piccolo, myself and my mom will be at the show Saturday. Piper and Piccolo have our Houston Texans clothes all ready to wearl. Plus they will do a wardrobe change into a new set that mom made for them. I haven't even seen it yet. We are so excited. |
