roadtrip? We are going to Florida in August and are thinking that for the next week we will drive to New Jersey to stay with my friend does anyone know how long his will take and if its best to have a few stopovers there will be 8 of us travelling so your input would be appreciated. :) |
I don't know how long it takes exactly to get to NJ, but we drive to florida every year, and from the candian/us border in Detroit, or the one in Buffalo, it takes us 22 hours. We take the I-75 the whole way, through ohio, tenn., kentucky, georgia and florida and were about 4 hours south from the florida border. We also sometimes go through PA and WV, and i think New Jersey is beside PA...(sorry im not from the states lol), so it would probably be a few hours shorter than our drive. Sorry if ive confused you lol! |
Depends where in Florida and where in New jersey you are going. All in all it will be a LONGGGGGGGGGGG hot trip. August is HOT here in the Southeast USA |
orlando florida and bridgewater NJ |
still looking for ideas on the roadtrip , anyone have any suggestions |
I'm not exactly sure where in NJ that is, but there are a lot of places along the way that could be visit. You could go to Washington, DC; Charleston or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Charlotte, NC; and Virginia Beach, VA. My bf lived in Jacksonville, FL for a while and really liked it, but I'm not sure what there is to do there. I would say to stop along the way and really enjoy the trip and the sites. Any of these cities would have quite a few hotels/motels and plenty to do while you're stopped. |
i say everyone shoul get in sync with the whole potty thing and all stop at once when everyone has to go....lol. |
I just 'Mapquested' it and they say 16 hrs 43 minutes.... NJ is a long narrow state, and Bridgewater is in upper central Jersey if that makes sense. Even Jersey is hot in August, so know that if you have your furbabies, you won't be able to leave them in the car that time of the year. They can overheat and die in a matter of minutes! As you get closer to your trip let me know. I live in Jersey, moved here from Florida, and my family is in South Carolina, so I can give you good feedback on places to stop. :p |
wont be able to bring my fur babies due to quarantine laws etc , but they will go to my mums and have a ball getting spoiled for few weeks. |
